Bad things happen on training ground....really bad things. Things that can't be unseen :hiding:

Lost City and Ghost Town are the same map ;)

My concern with Ghost Town and Ensk (standard versions) is the size, especially players being able to find each other, and not hide for a draw. I can try them, but would need y'all to give feedback and let me know if it works/doesn't work.

I could also try running maps as Attack/Defense or increasing the time to 7 min to see if Encounter maps work.

DO ENCOUNTER!

I find 1v1 standard battles silly.

Would love to see these tournies as encounter instead of standard so you don't have to spend half the match looking for your opponent and getting punished for making the first move.

The encounter cap time is way longer than normal though.

i wonder how many campers or hiders will be in the game today to make draws ( or no shows once again )

( i personally hate players who sign up and don't show up or decide to camp in either corners on Mittengard just because they think its an easy way to win ... Fight like real tankers don't be wimpy Campers)

Wow, it shows me as #2 out out of all 2312. Why that order?

War Gaming seems to be in the Quantity vs. Quality..   All kinds of new game mode this and tournament that...   Need a little more thought in the implementation and management of the events....  But by all means keep trying its cool that you do.

Well I think the issue is that the game provides only a certain level of support for tournaments and the NA office is trying to do better than that.  Hopefully the developers in Minsk can provide them with some better support.  (And dance, thank you for everything you do!)

These 1v1 tournaments really ought to be in the encounter format to prevent people from just camping near their cap circle... an encounter cap would at least draw both players to within a central area that doesn't have an unbreakable camp spot.

Why is the map Widepark being used for 1 vs 1 tournaments now?

The north spawn has a large inherent advantage.  The map itself promotes camping.   It's not a good map for 1 vs 1 tournaments.

I'm not sure what to use for this Tier 9 battle on a little map. Probably a T-54 just for it's all around capabilities.  Auto loaders would only be good if you could one clip kill them but most tier 9's this won't happen.  T-10 might be good as well.  Any suggestions??

i concur, widepark is a very narrow map that encourages camping over direct, engaging 1v1's

i really preferred mittenpark, it is a MUCH better map for 1v1s since it is half the size and has everything needed for interesting 1v1's without the campfest that plague widepark since you can't see or do much without being within 100m of your target

Widepark was horrible.  Every single person who showed up to fight just camped for 5 straight minutes in the corner of the red lines.  The hill at K0 seemed to be extremely popular.

Not fun to play 1v1's on at all, Mittengard is by far better.

Widepark is terrible. There are 2 slots in the North that the other team camped in almost every single time. The only way to assault both gopher holes is go straight in and get shot in the face... I dug a pair of losers out, the others  I couldn't. The only battle I lost was to a cromwell that came to fight so grats to him. Between this tourney and last weeks I have 7 draws... more than the last 6 months put together.

It's a 1v1 so it should be a duel not who gets the spider hole side of the map. Mittenguard isn't perfect but it is the best map we have to promote fighting.

Dance, go to a training room with someone in the office, go hide in one of the gopher holes with a T150, M6, Tog or w/e like that. Make it a 5 minute match and tell us how many times you win when he tries to get you out of there. Because there is only one way in you get the 1st shot and you are stationary so you are unlikely to miss. After you smack them a few times they say screw it and take the draw....

Well Said Slam.  I agree she should try to win in a training room.  So difficult when its 1v1
