Hmmmm interesting idea.  Including for the variants as well.  Now I don't know rather you mean just the skins or armaments or both?  But definitely a good idea.  :great:

Both skin and weapons for a premium like the scorpion, Rudy

Both would be great. Would be a unique skin like the Fury, Rudy and Berlins.

Try more like a tier 7. 175/217 pen won't cut it at tier 8 unless it gets pref MM which isn't going to happen. Also, gun depression is a whopping -2 degrees.

I do not think, in tier 7 would be very OP, in tier 8 would be better, note that the m4 revalorise is in tier 8, is the same m4 sherman but with a more powerful gun

It would be the worst tier 8 premium in the game. There is no way you can balance a tank with a 175/217 pen gun with little armor, poor camo, poor gun handling, long reload, lowish DPM, and -2 degrees of gun depression at that tier without either A) giving it pref MM which WG doesn't do anymore or B) overbuffing it to absurd levels to make it competitive. It fits better both gameplay-wise and historically at tier 7. .

Source on that? Not trying to be rude, just curious.

OP: I'd rather not have yet another copy-paste premium. How about something a bit more unique, like the SO-122?

A Russian engineer I worked with.  He explained all the various uses for Shermans, since he served aboard an Emcha.  (Always strip the seats out of a dead Sherman the upholstery would out-last any issued boot leather :D)  The conversion was post-war, since the IS-3 and other heavies were less than reliable, so they fooled around with installing a 122mm in a Sherman.  And sort of got it to work.  But it fell down on Russian 'Quality' it was a beast to repair, and needed frequent repairs.

That tank is great, here I leave a little information:

The SO-122 is a variation of the m4 sherman made in Yugoslavia, but can be introduced into the Russian technological tree, this one will change the 75mm gun to one of A-19 122mm gun, and also the standard engine by the engine that Uses the T-34 (V-2 engine)

For me it would be great to be introduced to the game as a tier 8 premium tank

Ah the choices, see this is when you know a good idea is brewing.  To me I like the idea of the SO-122 but have to further read on it and so forth.

Another focus of the work of the Yugoslav tank ostroiteley in 1950 was an attempt to modernize, had their tank s M4 Sherman. Tank that really liked the Yugoslav military, but has ceased to comply with the requirements in the 1950s to armor. The tank M4A3 experimental installed diesel V-2, which produced the Yugoslav factory - this project has received the cipher - M-634, but later on the modernization of the Sherman decided to give up, and had at the troops, part converted into an engineering technique, and partly deposited and transferred territorial troops. The last attempt at conversion Sherman ACS was made at the turn of the 50/60-ies, when vM4 expertly installed 122mm cannon - an analogue of the Soviet cannon A-19, and the installation experience was used in the motor M4 B-2. The car has received the index of SO-122 (SO - self-propelled gun). However, armor 122 mm guns was lower than that of the 100mm cannon T-54. Be the ACS support machine could not because of the small angle of elevation gun - only 10 grams. In 1962 the project was closed.

The Yugoslavians also got their hands onto the Sherman. The M-634 was a project using the V-2 engine from the T-34 in the Sherman, the new engine have the Sherman some extra horsepower and speed.

Later the M-634 evolved into the SO-122 which changed the gun from a 75 mm gun to the Soviet A-19 122 mm gun.  The comfortability of the SO-122 is minimal, IIRC it has a whopping -2 degrees of depression.

Yugoslavia, 1961, gun is 122mm A-19 but modified with vertical sliding breachblock.
520HP V-2R engine. No.19 radio station instead of SCR-528
33.5t.
Max speed changed from 42km/h to 50km/h. Fuel consummation lowered from 400 to 211l per 100km.Maneuverability on difficult terrain was somewhat reduced.

Gunsight was modified TSh-15 from SU-100.
In tests during 1962. gun showed lower penetration then 100mm D-10S and vehicle was reclassified from anti-tank vehicle to infantry support one, but it was not suitable for that role due the inability to use indirect fire (elevation was only +10/-2deg).
In 1966. development was officially stopped and prototype scrapped.

27-30 rounds of main gun ammo
1 x M1919A5 MG with 2250 rounds coaxial to main gun (not actually coax, it was capable of +20/-10 elevation/depression when uncoupled from main gun).
Bow MG was removed and storage used for ammo.
12.7mm AAMG with 300 rounds
Turret armot - 100mm front, 45-50mm sides.

122mm A19 gun

Looks like it would make a good premium for the Yugoslavian tech tree or the Russians.

I wouldn't say no to a Russian M4A2 76w Sherman, it'd at least be something different compared to the other Soviet clones we've had recently.

Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing a Canadian Grizzly being added to the UK tree as a premium, even if it's no different to the M4A1 Sherman. However, I'd give it the hull applique the in-game M4A1 Sherman is missing, and the British QF 75mm rounds. I'm going off topic.

I could probably be persuaded to buy a Russian Sherman, if it were pretty enough...

It took a while, but this historical tank has been added to the Soviet Line!
