10 Maps WoT refuses to allow players to play on

There are 11* maps that WoT refuses to allow players to play on.

They are; Dragon Ridge, Hidden Village, Komarin, North West, Pearl River, Port, Province, Severogorsk, South Coast , Asia Great Wall & Ghost Town.

These last two are seen by some players only. I'd sure like to see them.

So, we have 35 other unique maps that are forced on us all the time and on a restricted basis via an abysmal rotation rate.

11 unique maps out of the game is 25% of the total (45) that could be available. (and we don't even consider the lack of any brand new maps)

All the 11 blocked maps should be immediately returned to play.

 

 

* Pardon my mistake for forgetting about North West.

Most of those were removed due to either being imbalanced/biased to one side or the other, or didn't provide a lot of options for certain classes.

 

 

Ghost town was made specifically for league play and Great Wall is a console exclusive.

 

Dragon's Ridge was very limited for heavy/TD Playa and with physics caused all sorts of havoc.  I'd like it to come back as I found it hilariously fun.

From what I have gleaned from Wargaming's talks, usually when a map isn't in rotation, its because the map is being altered/upgraded/re-balanced et cetera.

I would love more maps in the rotation but the past few weeks pubs are having a hell of a time on the maps that currently exist at all tier levels. On the other hand, pubs will be pubs and fresh scenery may lesson the romp stomps butthurt.

I agree with the comments about some of these maps being unbalanced but for the sake of completeness your list should include Northwest.

From these I would like to see:

South Coast,

Severogorsk ( before it was remodeled and made less fun to play in )

and the Dragon Ridge, due its uniqueness.

Komarin wasn't all that bad after the remake.  They should have increased the size from 800 x 800 to 1000 x 1000

Port was broken the moment you could shoot through walls and do damage.  Komarin is a campfest no matter how many times they changed it, it was a classic but 15 minutes wasted just to draw most of the time.

 

Some of them I don't quite understand..South Coast was fun.

Port was back for chafee races was it a few years ago.

 

I like how OP forgot Northwest. Of all the maps removed that was by far the one I liked most. very large and had multiple avenues of approach from both sides.

Did you even bother to check for the reasons they were removed? Besides, you can't even manage your own hit points in damage on the maps we have. New maps are only going to confuse you more.

I agree it wasn't that bad except of being indecently small, even for lower tiers.

all they have to do is rework them a little ,we all want new and some old maps ,The whole community is asking for it ,it's not hard , nor expensive to do..Why hesitate some much ?

it's all about balance and some of them were even reworked multiple times and they couldn't get it right. NW, Komorin, Dragons Ridge, Pearl River, Hidden Village etc.

I got wins on all of them on both sides. If I can do this anyone can.  Besides everyone gets both sides equally if the side assignment is truly random. The 'balance' issue is a 'red herring' from the Map Whining Stat Padders

There was a Q&A with developers about a month ago that I watched. They said the maps that were taken out of the game would not accommodate the new physics and it would be easier to just design whole new maps.

What isnt a fit is the constant complaining about balance and maps. Learn to use what they offer. Second when you speak unbalanced and fit for the game please speak in terms of MM in its current unbalanced state and not fit for the game.
