I know about the models on tanks.gg or whatever its called, but theres way too many tanks to study and remember.

Any general tips? i seem to not have any consistency.

You better learn or you wont improve.  You don't have to remember everything, look here:

Right in the butt...if you can get behind them which can often be difficult.  Fast tank like Crommie is good for this.

the M48 patton, not the M46A1, not sure why I was thinking of that specific variant.  The M48 pattons commanders cupolas friggin huge. The M46's is harder to hit, but still a weak point.

The M46s entire turret is a weakspot, so don't worry about hitting the cupola on it.

In the hip if you are a decent shot, this will drop them fast.

When they are a casualty and screaming, some Johnny have a go hero will come to thier aid, drop them too..

Never go for a headshot too unreliable.

..oh sorry it's just the way the questions was phrased..thought you meant..nvm.

The right side of nearly every USSR tank has ammo/fuel

Just inside the tracks of the lower front plate of nearly every US tank is an ammo rack

Engines

Sides of turrets to kill crew members

If it looks like spaced armor don't shoot it

Don't shoot tracks, like USSR tracks differ in thickness from 20mm - 400mm in game (since they absorb rounds with that much pen)

Aim for the lead or rear wheels of a suspension system to track an enemy tank and possibly do damage.

Rather a good summary. +1

Op, the one thing that may help you out with practice is tracking shots for damage. Any time you can track some one you get a good amount of assistance damage so mor xp, it forces them to possibly use there repair kit and most importantly it can help remove enemy guns from the other team faster(that speeds up the chances to over matching numbers of player in engagement points leading the the snowball effect we all love)

sometimes MG ports can give you a nice UFP shot as they usually negate any sloping advantage though they can be hard to hit at range

the french G1 R With the top turret would argue with that.

A) That's a turret, not a cupola.  :P  But that wasn't the point.

B) The protrusion on the G1, whatever we call it, has the same armor profile as the rest of the front of the G1.  The cupola on the AT-2 is far easier to pen than the rest of the front.
