In white they are too visible and the traditional colour in car racing for France is dark blue.

Uhhh. What do you mean "too visible"? Isn't that the point? Also this isnt car racing stripes or something.

So if one gets three dark blue ones on an ELC, will it go faster?

Because obviously people don't want to see their hard earned marks of excellence on their tanks.

That's only a problem if you can actually get marks in the first place.

Isn't dark blue that color of the tank's paint jobs? that pretty much defeats the purpose of earning it in the first place.

There is an option in the settings tab that allows you to turn off the marks of excellence if you don't like the way they look.

exactly, dont like the white? turn it off as you dont need to see something " too visible"  I am TOTALLY SICK of minority amounts of players thinking they can continue to change stuff by whine and winge.

it is what it is.

dont like it? dont look at it!

Do you actually think how visible the MOE's on a tank are affects its camo value ?

Actually, the traditional racing color for French cars was light blue.

I'm not sure (I can't run WoT here where I am right now), but there's an option to not show the Mark of Excellences on the general settings, isn't?
You may choose that option, and "don't worry, be happy". ;)

Guess I could see that - but the whole MOE thing is about e-peen, so folks who have them want other folks to see them ...

The more the better, the brighter the better.

Kinda like inches ...

Sounds criminal, doesn't it?

It appears to me you have a problem with the marks distracting your gameplay?

There's an option under your in-game settings that allow you to disable MoE's, which will make them not visible for (you) only. :)
