Congratulations to the winners!  A whole slew of fantastic entries.  I should have thrown gears everywhere on mine :C

Oh well, there'll be more contests to try my hand at in the future!

I have to say I am deeply disappointed. I think that this emotional trauma caused me to stop doing art all together. I will format my HD and go protest in front of the WG's CA office to show my deep discontent with their decision. I am, also, thinking of going full Brazilian to reflect my inner state of depression.

Congrats to the winners. You all did excellent jobs.

Hi, would you mind sharing the criteria for how you judged the drawings to determine who won?

I'm a little disappointed to be frank, because i did spend a very long time on my blueprint design; I've participated in several of your contests now and still haven't even won a small gold prize.

For some future contests, would you mind sharing some advice?

I dunno; maybe I accidentally misread some contest rules or the other pieces were better.

Thanks

Yay I won! Thanks Wargaming!

Next time I will try even harder, and maybe win a 1st place prize!

But gold is all I wanted :) Now I can reward my favorite tanks with some permanent camo and emblems. My poor Ikv 103 is getting tired of re-painting every month, and my Churchill I is long overdue for a name decal.

I guess congrats to the winners, but I really have to question some of these choices when there were clearly better entries.

Y'now, there were really very few entries at all, would it have hurt to have given everyone the honorable mention prize?

Some fantastic entries. The only way I can rationalize how some were chosen over others is the following rule:

  • Entry must include your in-game name

As in it had to be on the piece, not just the post.

I forgot to do that and never went back to fix it because I figured I wasn't going to win anyway.

If that's the case then they should have explicitly stated it in the rules - all it says is "must include your in-game name" it doesn't specifically say that you need to include it in the art work itself.

Block Quote

  • Design and create your own tank
  • Entries may be hand drawn or digitally rendered
  • Design must incorporate steampunk elements
  • Entry must be created exclusively for this contest
  • Entry must include your in-game name
  • You may write up a short story about your tank, history, and/or design concepts to support your design
  • The design must resemble a tank in some way; it needs to be immediately recognizable as a tank, SPG or tank destroyer
  • Entries will be judged or creativity and adherence to the rules
