I am confused by these two variables. Currently, there's a mechanism for a Clan to lower the "Unrest" of a province they own by spending Influence - I understand that. However, how does Unrest relate to a province's "Resistance"? When you pay to decrease the Unrest level, it doesn't appear to have any effect on the Resistance level.

Any insight?

Does anyone have any useful responses? I'm really at a loss to understand these metrics and how they are supposed to interact. WG's "guide" is very elusive on exactly what they do/mean, and my understanding from the guide was that lowering the Unrest level staved off Revolts, but I've seen that in practice it doesn't work at all. Spending influence to lower Unrest levels below "5" does nothing to the Resistance level, and a revolt starts the very next day regardless. So, at this point, I'm not bothering to do anything, as it gives us more fights.

On another note, assuming Influence is not needed to lower Resistance (as lowering Unrest levels means nothing), then what is Influence used for other than that?

I've opened a Support Ticket with these questions and will update if I receive anything informative...

So... My response from "Support"? They linked me to the online Guide, which I've read already, and said "thank you."

What a freaking joke! I specifically stated that I wanted MORE information than was already presented, and they just don't give a damn.

Lesson learned? WG doesn't know anything about their own game, doesn't want to help players, and can't be bothered to read questions.

PS> All I can gather is that Unrest levels mean nothing. Resistance is futile, er, is the only ingredient to Revolts, and you can't stop it.

%unrest is basicaly your % chance to see that province revolt (turn into an lz) By lowering that you stall that provinces revolt.

I feel I have been seeing the same problem the use of influence to stall the revolt is not working. Opening up 5-7 provinces in revolt at the same time...Difficult to manage your teams when you cant use the tools given to you to slow down the revolts.

Basically, using Influence to reduce the levels does nothing but slow down the progress... This makes spending the Influence kind of useless, since the Resistance Level continues to rise regardless, and your Province(s) will Revolt eventually - be it a day later or a day earlier, perhaps this makes a difference to you.

I believe they gave us a mechanic that could have been useful, then made it fundamentally useless in the process. If you could spend Influence to reduce the current level of Resistance, THAT would be useful. There would actually be a reason to accumulate and spend Influence. As it is, there seems to be no use for this currency aside from creating Divisions - and at that, it's a minimal cost, so you should never run out.
