In (9.17.1), there will be changes to the T110E5's commanders cupola. I'm happy that WG is addressing this issue considering the T110E5 has been over preforming for some time now. However, i'm not pleased with the current changes in (9.17.1). As you can see in the picture, the cupola will now be 240mm effective dead center. Reaching a minimum of 230mm lower left! And 300mm at the edges where it rounds off. It looks like a majority of the cupola, however, will be easily penetrable by tier X guns from now on.

In my personal opinion, I strongly suggest WG changes the shape of the cupola similar to when it was pre-buffed, which is more reminiscent of the in-game model. Increasing the angle on the upper portions, and leaving the bottom portions flat. This would make the weak point a much more appropriate size.

The new game models can be found at beta.tanks.gg

so i went to your link...

and....its not like you think

http://beta.tanks.gg/tank/t110e5/model

dead center is 256+

to the left and it gets more and more

but to the right it gets more and more as well until it hits 280+

and keeps going up until you hit the 114mm armor which is angled at 224 and small.

can you give me a better link?   cause this one looks extremely strong.(and makes me think its the current one)

edit: nvm i found it

http://beta.tanks.gg...5/model?vm=live

240mm.....honestly considering how strong e5's hull and turret is.

and considering i'm still pissed at it for having WORKING armor unlike the BIGGER M48(whose turret is crap, whose top speed is crap, and whose tumor is a joke)

i'm gonna say this is fine.

no tier 8s will be penning it anyway.  and tier 9s...onyl half of them

and even then you have hte +/- 25% pen

Still with the tumor size and the tendency to close ranks, this is by far too glowing a weakness. I agree with the changes at the drive wheels as they really come into play when the tank is improperly angled but the cupola is a little overcooked against others of its species.

I feel that the cupola is blaring and easy too hit. And that it will be very easy to penetrate in 9.17.1. Considering turret armor is a tanks weakest link, this is a pretty weak link. I want the cupola to be a weakness,  but not a blaring one.

Buff the T95s too while we are at it.

I'm slightly less worried about the cupola than I am about the frontal armor changes around the front track-wheel.

Front track wheel whent all the way down to 79.2mm... kinda more of a nerf then the copla... making it almost impossible to side scrap or even hide behind anything as your always be showing a weak spot.

The e5's not broken in the slightest. I can pen it with ap in my 121 reliably. Even at distance. The problem is these horrribads not being able to aim. I don't think it needs a nerf it's fine as is.

Oh they nerf the E5 to rebalance it. But make the Maus and the Type 5 Heavy impenetrable by regular tier 10 heavy rounds. Sounds like Wargaming.

I think buffing other tanks and nerfing others in 1 shot is bad practice. Look at WOWS where they will buff some ships, and wait to see how everything balances out. Normally a slight buff in one aspect is enough to nerf another. I cant see how having a Cupola that large and nerfing it to the point the t6 french heavy has a decent chance of penning is a good idea.

I just played a round where 3 tanks were able to pen my cupola off of snap shots.

Its really depressing to see WG taking the same road as the devs of the WarHammer games. Where they don't really listen to the community, think things through, and continue to make poor choices.

So I was comparing the 9.17 and 9.17.1 PT cupola of the T110E5 I think the change is pretty good. Maybe slightly extreme. But its cupola did need a nerf. I would say keep the cupola with less armor as it is now on the public test, but angle it better, like the FV215B. I personally believe that would be acceptable for both sides of the argument(i.e. those who want it nerfed and those who don't).
