Hey Rita!  There are a couple of places where you show the Deerhound where you are talking about the Staghound and vice versa. But pretty good video :)

Guy who shouted "You're breathtaking!" to Keanu Reeves during Cyberpunk 2077 reveal will receive free copy of the game:

On higher education in the US:

Their work is inspiring, but it is also a sobering indictment — particularly for those of us who teach in the humanities, whose job it once was to lead students in a survey of how civilization’s greatest minds wrestled with philosophical problems. In recent decades, a stultifying mix of hyperspecialized research and pressure to emphasize “practical skills” — as well as a political reluctance to prioritize canonical texts or universal questions — have sapped our confidence.

http://freakonomics.com/podcast/student-debt/

  • Baumol’s cost disease
  • Increasing gulf in incomes for those will college degrees
  • Illusionary conflation of cost and quality -- in the absence of objective measures
  • Vastly increased availability of loan and grant programs -- almost the entirety of every dollar made available is gobbled up by increased tuition, resulting in a near-zero net gain for students
  • Simple rising demand
  • "Degree bloat" / "Degree devaluation" -- jobs where a Bachelor's used to be just a leg up on other candidates now won't even look at your resume unless you have a graduate degree, even though the jobs haven't changed at all.

it was deliberate honey.

I keep very separate folders of Deer and Staghounds.

The thing is in order to not have a still image for too long because my amount of Deerhound pics collected is far more limited than Staghound, I threw a couple of Staghound into the mix but I did keep the important bits(manuals) as is.

OMG I missed the Ferret pics earlier.  And the rat on it looks like the design is based on the desert rat of the Desert Rats in WW2, then turned into a Grim Reaper!

It's obviously the Death of Rats from the Discworld series.

I remember playing this game 20 some odd years ago. It didn't look anywhere near as pretty. Also like back in the day it is a PlayStation exclusive at launch..... again.

Only bummer was I tried to redeem the code on my copy of Can Openers for the Scorpion... and code didn't work.

What was the error code? Should still be good...

I'd have talked longer, but I was really quite busy. More so than many shows I go to.

As to the racist cop thing, I'm reading the examples quoted, and things like "should have shot him" when referring to an armed robber don't seem to be evidence of pervasive racism, just robberism.

Have you seen where Oregon is considering allowing civil suits if you call 911 on a certain 13% segment of the population?  This would mean that the govt thru 911 or the police will be handing over your contact information to a criminal so they can sue you.

I am sure the intent is to get people to do more than just sue you for calling 911 on them if you know what I mean.

White people need to stop calling 911 on black people mowing lawns, playing, BBQing, canvassing their constituents, using a community pool, wearing socks in a pool, accidentally knocking something over in church, doing safety inspections as a fireman while wearing a uniform and with the fire truck parked nearby...

https://www.vox.com/...ling-911-police

"State Rep. Janelle Bynum (D), one of the bill’s co-sponsors, recently experienced a racially motivated police call of her own. While Bynum was knocking on doors to canvass for reelection last July, a woman called the cops because she thought Bynum looked suspicious."

"The proposal would make it a crime to have the police contact someone without reasonable concern of actual suspected criminal activity. Victims would be able to sue for up to $250 if they can prove law enforcement was summoned with racist intent to discriminate and damage a person’s reputation."

The amount of stupid crap 911 gets called about, on top of the aforementioned intolerance based calls, would make your head spin.

One of my best friends' son was an EMT on an ambulance. Some of his stories just boggled the mind. Nothing graphic or horrific, just pure stupidity.

Ugh so I pulled my last comment but DV quoted it so... first of all, kaiser, you said "the govt thru 911 or the police will be handing over your contact information to a criminal so they can sue you." which is demonstrably false.

Second, "I am sure the intent is to get people to do more than just sue you for calling 911 on them if you know what I mean." is worse.

Basically, you are asserting that all black people are violent criminals, when the entire point of the bill is to stop racist people calling 911 on black people doing nothing wrong.

if you're referencing The Hill article I linked a week or so ago it was not on just the racism on display under far too many social media pages of police, but also those calling for or casually referencing police violence.  There's 2 problems not just one.
