So been playing around the Guepard in WoWS, is a fun destroyer, no smoke makes it interesting to play.

The French DDs are different -- I lucked out and got the Jaguar and Le Fantastique unlock missions randomly in the free crates.  The latter made Directive stage 3 a very different sort of grind.

They're really hit-and-run artists, they have to get in, get off their attacks, and get back out of sight before the enemy can respond in force -- you have no smoke to cover your attack or escape.  Speed boost and reload boost reinforce this.  And unlike on the cruisers where it applies for a about 3 reloads, the reload booster on guns with DD ROF means you reload faster over a lot more reload cycles, so it's actually worthwhile.  (I consider the reload booster a bit of a wet squib on the French cruisers.)

Thanks to my last 200% xp booster and premium time I now have the tier 9 British light. It's amazing how fast you can work up a line now, though yes those boosters helped...

I don't have the top gun on it but I don't expect it to change things much.

On the one hand... The long reloads sort of force disengagement if you are hidden, fire, and then get lit.  (must learn where I can double bush) So it creates acceptance in me of "ok, get behind hard cover, wait 10s until I am no longer visible, maybe engage in some misdirection by going one way and then turn back when I am invisible again".

However, just about any other light tank can bully you up close, which sucks.

Even the wheeled ones when by default the wheeled vehicles were by design suppose to lose to the normal lights.

Are they? I dunno.

The tier 8 premium wheelie is pretty dangerous with its two round clip.

I would say I am having fun though I am struggling on some maps. I need to look at guides (so have asked about them on the general forum) especially about good locations.

Similar to how the GOP pretends Trump is a bug, as opposed to the clear evolution of their base and party that they helped create.

Put it this way, the time to for NR to speak candidly and strenuously on the dangers of the alt right was years ago, when they were looking the other way at American conservatism's clear strains of racism. It's too little too late, on this the NR shouldn't receive credit for essentially just showing up to class, so to speak. The Klan, the alt right, those are surface level symptoms, not the actual problem. To pretend otherwise is an attempt by conservatives to wash their hands of any responsibility.

Case in point, back to the original op-ed, notice it does not once mention Trump or the GOP really. Instead, it blames self-radicalization, as if 8chan and the alt right exist in their own bubble, separate from Trump and the modern Republican Party.

If I had to be critical of the statement's source is that it reeks of ulterior motive to me, however I do agree with the statement itself.

Fair points...those GOP stalwarts who hope that the tiger goes away after Trump does are either in denial or are hoping that they don't wind up being tiger food.

A different article from that source, on the same subject.  Author does go so far as to specifically call out Trump, his allies, and his rhetoric.

I think french DDs are the only ones at high tier not to have a DP main battery, except for the Somers.

One of the better writers on the NR these days, especially on policing issues (although the world could benefit if he never writes about gender again). And while he undoubtedly held most of his views for years, to be clear, his children are of color and he's run into issues with Trumpers over that.

French DDs are also great at hunting down and eradicating other DDs. The main battery reload consumable can burn down another DD really quickly if timed right. I also don't even pretend to play a French DD like it is anywhere close to sneaky. I think my French DD captains are going to be the only destroyer captains I have that don't have concealment expert in the build.

Also with the reload and speed boost means if you get into close quarters with a cruiser you can do some good damage with AP, citadeled a Charles Martel to death in cqb combat.

Did you know the CM was in a torpedo cooldown, or count on being able to evade them?

I actually counted on my torps to sink him before I got too close, but in the end I just counted on being able to evade them.

Ever end your day at work so mad that it feels like it would be a bad idea to get in your car and drive while still that mad?

More times than I care to count. The person that was the cause of the vast majority of those "DV ANGRY" days has since retired and general morale has improved significantly as a result.

I find driving actually calms me down. Maybe because I get to listen to my music at the same time.

Jeffery Epstein is dead.  Now to seal up all the records found in his house "because we can't try him anymore".

One of the few times were crazy conspiracy theories may not be so crazy or maybe he figured out there was no escaping jail with cozy house arrest this time and he wont last 5 seconds in general.

Given who he knew and what he got up to, it's far from irrational to consider the possibility that some very wealthy likeminded fellows decided to silence him.  If I were involved in the investigation I'd certain do everything I could to entertain that notion before closing the case.

Nah.  He committed suicide.  The two bullet entry points on the back of his head are emblematic of suicide in prison.
