Given the Senate trial is presided over by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and there is zero historical precedent for blocking a trial, there is only so much Moscow Mitch can do.

If the Congressional GOP still has a sense of self-preservation they would use this as a glorious opportunity to rid themselves of this man and replace him with Pence. Pence has his own issues but he can fake being a functioning human long enough to get through an election cycle.

I don't understand your point tbh. Being able to see the enemy players' names has nothing to do with simulation.

I wish these idiots who are upset luck finding the anons. I certainly did not distinguish a pattern in the anon-ids which the game gave me (shown in the after battle reports only by first clicking on my line, then hovering my mouse over the eye icon in the upper right?).

My main concern with this was being able to identify the total incompetents who failed their way to Tier-X or reached into their wallet to buy a tank they didn't have a clue how to play. So far it does seem to be that the competent players who want some privacy are the ones availing themselves of this option.

Last week in books:

https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0062662635/ref=nosim/librarythin06-20

https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0253017041/ref=nosim/librarythin06-20

The first is the middle book of a really excellent fantasy trilogy where the atrocities of modern Chinese history have been reinvented as a grimdark fantasy; the side amusement is reading the author's Twitter feed where, as she finishes up the last book, she wonders what possessed her to tackle this project in the first place! Keep in mind that she's 23, is doing advanced grad work AND has a boyfriend.

The other is a cross between an extended essay and a survey of how counterfactual history has been handled over time, Black champions asking the question "what if" as a means of unpacking one's own assumptions, as his general feeling is that the academic practice of history has become too set in its assumptions of authority for its own good, and needs reintroduced to notions of narrative and contingency. On the other hand, Black also has little use for the rhetorical cry "if only" that tends to be the foundation of alternative history for the losers; one learns no lessons going down that path.

Hello, hello.

I notice the Cross of St. Andrew flag on the turret so I presume that you're loitering with the Scottish Dragon Guards?

This is the first privately owned Challenger in the world.

We do have some Scottish vets joining us, things get pretty darn wild. :bajan::izmena::popcorn:

Well, that would require the devs actually having a clue but hey could be worse.

2020 LMPH (Hypercar/CarCar) regulations got finalized

Of note:

Block Quote

 (1) overall dimensions are now much larger, including overhangs being increased to 1100mm max for the front, 1000mm for the rear (compared to 750mm for both in the current LMP1 regulations)
(2) no more flat floors
(3) Variable valve lift and timing is legal if the engine is based on a road model
(4) no low-drag Le Mans bodywork, and only one adjustable element is allowed (looks like dive planes are exempt)
(5) Rotaries look to be legal again, diesel is out
(6) Center section of the splitter must be 1000mm, rear diffuser is a free design

I'm not sorry. I've done something terrible, but I'm still not sorry! So, how's the tea boiler on it?

Have you guys seen any of these "Skyrim in real life" videos? I think this is the best one.

Welp... WG have painted themselves into another corner... with gasoline and thermite... that's on fire.

The "holiday event" this year is the Dockyard, in which grinding out the Directives and the missions therein builds a "supercruiser", the Puerto Rico (basically a tier 10 Alaska with a 4th turret).

They said it would be completable for free.  it's not.  They gave the impression that there would be a way to boost the build for doubloons and get the ship that way... getting the ship with doubloons ended up costing an accumulated $234 "worth" of dubs.

The forums are on fire, reddit is ablaze, multiple CCs are calling them out and documenting outright lies about the event.

How blatantly "not able to be completed for free" is it?

The completeability for free is into multiple negative digits.

Somebody asked them on stream specifically if somebody from Wargaming could grind out the Puerto Rico on stream. The answer is "no".
https://clips.twitch.tv/TameTentativeStinkbugMrDestructoid

Suboctavian said that the Goritzia (I'm calling it the consolation prize), was easier to get than last year's ship. The answer, again, is a resounding no.

The objectives are on the average 600-700% more involved and the most difficult is 2270% more involved. I'm no slouch and I think I might be able to get Goritzia by the end of the month assuming I don't play anything else. Yeah... this is a train wreck and that is absolutely the most diplomatic way I can think to describe it.

I have, and they are darn near 100% accurate. I can't remember the last one I saw, but IIRC the dagger attack throwing someone across the room is something I've done before, assuming they don't play the back-stab, throat-cut, or spinny-weird-death-spin animation instead.

...And I thought it was bad when I left. Also, given the importance of fire density in WoWS last I played it, an extra 25% more firepower is a darn-near P2W aspect.
