Oh dear, my derping around has been caught by Flamu. ;_;

Also, what is with the USN guns, especially the destroyers. I sometimes suspect that the guns on DDs are actually aiming for satellites. I play on a little laptop, I literally have to aim so well in advance of enemy DDs, I can't see them on my screen.

This is the oh so unique and special trait of USN DDs and some cruisers of being the gunboats of WoWS. But because their main guns are dual purpose guns (both AA and anti ship), the WoWS devs think to reach their max range, they have to elevate the guns to their highest. So USN ships need to have sub-orbital shell arcs to hit at max range. Quite frankly, ships of other nations do the "gunboat" trait better with better shell arcs. This is why playing ships like the Cleveland and Atlanta is pretty stupid.

The problem is were removing a tank that requires actual knowledge and replacing it with a tank that you can derp around in and probably do ok in. Im not a fan of the continued dumbing down of this game. Heavies are getting armor that can only be described as "bad for the game" and mediums are following suit all becoming pretty much the same tank with different visuals. Conversely, Im a big fan of being made to learn the tanks you want to play, (And I still dont know how to position a 215b properly most of the time). It doesnt matter that I get to keep the 215b, it matters because no one else gets the chance to play a unique tank that has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. Instead they get a tier 9+ instead of a true tier 10 tank.

The continued homogenization of the entire game is bad. The loss of the 215b is one more step down that road. The armor buffs to the Pattons were another. The armor buffs (should they actually happen) will be another.

I was listening to Paul Barnett and Murazor talk during one of the GamesCom live streams... and everything they said made me want to slap them. I get wanting the lines to have a theme from tier 8 to 10, but every theme is becoming "lol armor". Hearing them say (and Im paraphrasing here): "The T-54 needed a buff to its turret because it was old and couldnt do well in the game now" was so incredibly stupid, because the T-54 did fine in the game. They, the both of them, are going to be responsible for this game taking less and less actual, mechanical, skill. Its annoying, and its tiring to see the hordes of morons gleefully cheer for unneeded buffs, when they could just learn how to mitigate the things which were buffed.

... in a nutshell ...  "hordes" covers it I think, as in the 'large player demographic' (likely the majority) of the players today ...

Jaysus, I remember that bloke.

We've moved on a bit, since. Normally we don't discuss the weather much. We know what it's going to be anyway, but I do recall a few years ago when everyone, and I mean, everyone in the country was talking about RTE's weatherwoman and 'that dress'.

thank you!

It took me about 12h to make it.

Made the dry rub and sauce by myself.

I gave the meat a good rubbing and left it overnight, then cooked it with the sauce at 120Celsius for a few hours. The bones just slid off the meat, that's how nice it was. Made them on the spicy side btw.

I bought me a new gun. I've been wanting something that shoots .22LR for super cheap range shooting (and something that my GF can shoot without complaining about her shoulder the next day) for a while so I got a H&K MP5 (fake)SD in .22LR with an EoTech red dot holo. It being California it has the fixed stock because gotta be 26 inches long. I kinda like the fixed stock look more than the folding one anyway.

I'll post pictures of it in a couple weeks when I'm allowed to take ownership of it. Great state of California, prolonging the death of paper targets at the range by two weeks for decades.

My acting role was Satan.

Would I be right in guessing that A Barca dos Infernos dates from a similar period- 1590s or 1500s anyway?

One of these days I want to get into WoWS, but I just refuse to play it solo.  I've long since stopped enjoying queueing for PVP arena games by myself, and that's the sole reason I look at Zergling playing a certain mech game and go "lolno" to his persistent insistence that I come back to it.  The fun of those games is playing with friends.

Ya, MWO has really shot itself in the foot by not allowing pairs of players to join the regular matchmaker queue, instead forcing them into the 'group' queue where they are forced to fight larger groups they stand no chance against.

Need help finding a terrible movie. IIRC, it was from sometime in the 1990s, starred Loud Diamond Phillips, and was about him infiltrating a military academy for kids that had a group of white supremacists. Cannot at all find this movie, and I know I watched it once upon a time.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the movie. It was Treat Williams, not Lou Diamond Phillips. Must have been mixing it up with Murder At The Presidio.
