Indeed. I hoped that the HD T110E5 would at least change the cupola but nope. WG believes the T110E5 came from the M103 (hence the hull) and still kept that weird oscillating turret like cupola.

Also, I wonder how many pre-orders thus far for the Firepower book.

You know... even if we didnt get the hull... the fact that the cupola would be impossible to use past the forward 180 degree arc is silly and should be fixed... (but we should also get the hull because it looks better).

It is funny because the T110E3 and T110E4 have accurate to their drawing cupolas.:sceptic:

Can anyone quickly tell me if there's anything else I have to do with my US trip? I've got my flights, my passport, I've gotten my US ESTA and Canadian eTA. The former is for my stay (I don't need a visa as Australia is a member of the Visa Waiver Program), and the latter is because I'm transiting through Canada. Am I missing anything? #FirstTimer

As of a week ago, not enough, yet. Somewhere over 3/4 the way to what we need for the offset printing.

I ain't going through all 6193 of her posts to find out which of those were food posts. Also, she is the biggest spammer in the last thread beating the 2nd highest, Killjoy, by 865 posts.

Nothing to be done with the turret as theres nothing really close enough.

I'll be doing that. I'm more worried about if I need to do anything else. I don't want to be denied entry. Lol

Stay cool when going through customs.  There are many stupid rules, if you just stay polite and friendly you'll get through with a minimum of hassle.  If you make the TSA guy have to work harder he will make your day a misery.

Would some of the issues with the Montana in WoWS (from what I've read) be solved if it got an upgrade for an 18" Mark A main battery? Granted the total barrel count would drop to around 8-10, but the increased penetration, overmatch abilities, damage, and shell weight would hopefully offset that.

I wish we had that tank... it just looks way better.

Even if they tried to model it like that, it could be another FV4202-grade disaster.

So MWO 'skill tree revamp' PTS notes are up.

They are taking away offensive quirks from just about everything, and all mechs will have the same set of 91 skill points to assign to bonuses. This is a problem, because the mechs that currently have no nerfs (because they are so powerful they don't need any, like the Timber Wolf, Stormcrow, KDK-3) aren't getting any nerfs, while all the mechs that need quirks to compete with them are getting nerfed.

So the balance disparity between the top tier mechs and those that aren't top tier will become even worse... I sure hope I'm missing something, because this seems like it will utterly **** what little balance MWO currently has.

I think it was mentioned that some mechs will still retain quirks to make them carry certain weapons better like the HBK-4G with the AC20.

Yeah, some mechs still keep some weapon quirks, but it is still a nerf across the board for everything that isn't a top tier quirkless mech.

Eg, HBK-4G is keeping the 10% AC20 cooldown quirk, but its 15% Ballistic cooldown (which stacked with the AC20 for 25% total CD) is being nerfed to 5%, the 25% Ballistic Range quirk is being reduced to 10%, and the -15% energy heat generation quirk is being reduced to 5%.

Meanwhile, Timber Wolf, Stormcrow, KDK-3? No nerfs at all. Unless PGI decides to give those mechs some negative quirks, this will be horribly unbalanced.

EDIT: more bad stuff; it costs 100,000 cbills and 1,500 XP to apply just one of the 91 skill nodes on a mech, so to fully master a mech will cost 9.1 million cbills and 136,500 XP.

Currently it only takes 57,250 XP to master a mech, so this is a 138% increase in XP grind.

EDIT2: oh, there's respecs; it costs 25,000 cbills or 10 MC to respec a single skill node, so it will cost 2,275,000 cbills or 910 MC just to remove all applied skill nodes.

The player gets the XP back in full, but not the 100k cbills per skill node, so to remove all 91 skill nodes and reapply them would cost a total of 11,375,000 cbills.

I thought the skills refer more to the replacements of the weapon and mech modules. I think Mastering of mechs is a separate thing altogether or it should be at least... Unless of course things like speed tweak and quicker startup is one of the skills. Only managed to look through certain weapon skills.
