Remember when I said that Trump was going to find out the hard way that as POTUS, he's not the CEO of a company, he doesn't simply issue orders, and that he has no power over Congress?

Still, while he may have no real power over Congress nothing but trouble is going to result from his disregard of operational norms:

Ugh.

I wonder at what point does failing to fill the sub-Secretary positions become an impeachable failure of executive duty...

And Tillerson turning out to be a voice of reason and counterpoint to the inner circle of vultures...

This just in: Trying to issue a slightly watered down version of an EO that was struck down will result in the new one getting struck down too.

He should probably realize he wont win this battle and let it go.... ha... who am I kidding... wheres the popcorn... dis gonna be gud...

~~~
Saw stuff about Sandbox Phase 4. The cliff notes:
-- Making stun time less didnt make it any more fun to be stunned. So now stun affects vehicle mobility by 30% instead of whatever it was before (50%?). (Weve gone from "does too much" to "wont be relevant". So tell me again... why is stun a thing?)
-- Splash radius was too big. So the radius has been reduced by 10% (meaning the area has been reduced by 19%). (So... this along with the above stun changes makes stun even less of a problem AND also makes arty less effective. I'm ok with it being less effective so... good job.)
-- All Spall liners now reduce stun time by 10%. (This just in Spall Liners are still a waste of an equipment slot.) Additionally the M53/M55 overperformed in phase 3 and the tier 8 and 9 British SPGS under performed. (Yep... the tier 9 US was OP and the 2 british vehicles sucked... I am unsurprised.)
-- The T-100 and Spz. 57's mobility and dynamic stats were lowered to make them in line with the other tier X lights. (Saw this coming...) Reloads of the Spz. 57, T-100 and WZ-132A were increased to avoid them becoming OP. AMX 13 105 reload was reduced to keep it relevant. (A french tank buff? Wat?) XM551 receieved considerable boost. (No idea what this means... apparently it was underpowered). The Spz. 57, T-100, XM551 Sheridan, AMX 13 105 and WZ-132A view range was slightly reduced to keep them from being overpowered. (Umm... WG.... the whole point of light tanks is to spot... maybe just make bigger maps instead?)
-- M41 gets its autoloader back. T49 gets the derp back. (AKA you all bitched and moaned incessantly so we caved).
Done with the 10 wins while being top 10 in damage.
Highlight was getting Ace Tanker in my JagdPanzer E100.
Cool...this will either be fairly routine or totally maddening!
Looks like today will be autoloader day then. My T57 and AMX 50B will be happy to see sunlight.
Always interesting to see a certain type spin up the kneejerk anti-Americanism and cherry-pick incidents to serve their narrative.
They treated Assange like a messiah, and he turned out to be a Kremlin sockpuppet.
Which is not to say that all American soldiers and all American conduct of war have been clean and perfect and angelic everywhere at all times.  But what happens, inevitably with these incidents, is that certain people are so eager to go at the US that they treat every tragic mistake as a blatant warcrime, and every actual bad act as a far broader thing than it really is.  Syria and Russia deliberately firebomb schools, and there's a sort of collective "gee that's terrible" and whatever... the US accidentally drops one bomb on a hospital because of an intel or communications issue, has a year-long investigation, demotes and fires people, reviews all its procedures, and those same people who said "whatever" are now bleating about "injustice" and "coverup".
As Americans, we should always be trying to live up to our ideals, and trying to do a better job of it, and acknowledging where we fall short.  And that includes our military.  But for some reason critics always seem to look at the US military in isolation, rather than in the context of war, or the context of its opponents, or the context of the alternatives.
What's the phrase again? "It's lonely at the top"?
It will be entertaining, for sure, not least as someone with a law degree who takes odd interest in such things, but I am far from convinced that he will lose. EO #2 was written while actually consulting with lawyers this time, and the judiciary are not a united block. Although the appeals process from EO #1 was abandoned as a result of the decision to go with EO #2, a number of 9th Circuit judges took the rather unusual step of filing a dissent anyway despite not being called upon to analyse it. And that was EO #1, EO #2 may very well find itself on better ground in the apellate courts. https://www.washingt...m=.47e003b9770b
