Website says that starts May 18, so it's probably not in the game yet?

The launcher notice is worded as if it's already here, thus my confusion.

That title does sort of imply it has already started doesnt it...

I wonder how hard it will be to get the Bismarck for free...

From what I've seen, it's not...too bad. It's pretty much just another set of missions where you earn stars to unlock the final task for the mission set (7 in total). With the final missions always being some form of "do this much damage to progress".

It seems HMS Hood is going to also be released for this, since I keep seeing a Hood specific mission for each set.

On PTS, it was PvP only, so I'm probably not going after it.

Given how hard this hit parts of China and Russia, if that linkage turns out to be true, one has to wonder how it might affect Chinese and Russian attitudes toward the Norks.

It's like North Korea wants to have no friends left.

IMO, smoking gun.

Watching the Trumpites try to paint Comey as a loose cannon and rogue just months after lauding him for "going after" Clinton...

RNG was extremely kind in one field proficiency cache in The Division, as I got an MG5.

You should be more excited. We're getting a new edition! ;) [sarcasm]Why spend $60 on a video game when I can spend $160 on new rulebooks?[/sarcasm]

Though I am excited about 8e. For one, as my friend pointed out, it's going to be the first major update we [SoB] will have received in a decade. Also, ImpyGuard promises to not be terrible. The Battle Cannon isn't looking to be any good, but the chassis won't be bad, so there's always the other varieties.

What have they done/not done to the humble battle cannon?

Its not a template anymore. Instead you roll multiple S8 AP-2 D3 damage shots. I assume the multiple shots part will be similar to how Loota Boyz work with you rolling to see how many shoots you get at the start of the firing phase.

It now get D6 shots, S8, AP -2, Dam. D3. So you roll D6 shots, roll to hit at BS3 with those, then roll to wound, then they take their saves, then you deal D3 wounds for each unsaved wound.

Here's the results of 100000 trials of a new Battle Cannon's shooting. [percentages]

It'll be like the Exorcist. Nominate target, then determine number of shots, get screwed by the dice, then resolve your piddling 1 shot against a full tac squad or your overkill 6 shots against that one surviving biker guy. If I've learned anything from playing with Exorcists, it's that it will get tons of rockets when you least need them, but only manage one when you need the full salvo most.

I think I totally forgot to mention this here:

There are still a few of the "early adopter" discount packages left as of the moment I'm posting this.

Spoiler

I use my laptop for my GM's screen if I need one, but generally open roll. Schlock Mercenary is a great webcomic, though. Maybe instead of Traveler I'll run Planet Mercenary next year.

AP2 now though, that's an improvement at least. Makes it more effective against terminators, and MC's. D6 though, ew.

Ok briliant. Any time soon would be awesome.

Looks like the track is going to be very wet :( Should make things more interesting at least.

I will say this again, because so far your organisational skills have proven to be abysmal. :D

I am going to stay thursday night in Portsmouth area, because otherwise I would be driving for 5 hours before we even got to the track so if you want we can meet up and have a chat the night before.

Just went through another 1,000 pages of the Australian archives, everything electronically uploaded at least. Not many interesting things to come of it, there were drawings for a locally produced 600hp engine, which I presume was for the AC III & IV. Saw a few pages suggesting to replace the hull MG for a 3 inch mortar to make up for the lack of HE ammunition for the 2-Pdr. The estimated ammunition capacity of 6-Pdr rounds when the gun became available, they were also planning to remove the hull MG for more ammunition storage.

Somewhat more interesting though there were GS for the Chieftain tank in the Australian archives (a rather early GS). 120mm at 60 degrees was the required thickness of the glacis, with less actual thickness being accepted as the armour increased over the COS curve. Nice little diagram too.

It is like the Roads Authority doesn't any folks t be able to get from the East of England to the West. M20 closed, divert to M2. M3 closed, and instead of putting up a sign saying 'detour one exit early, instead they put me on the M3 Northfor six miles, then back South to the M25, then back East to Dover, then another loop back onto the M25 onramp I was on half an hour previously, and finally onto the A30. Sigh.   And then my camera crew wanted to go to Monkey World.

Left my cow behind at the Bovington hotel. Driving 90 minutes back to pick him up. Then off to Duxford, by way of Chichester, and Tesco. I'm racking up a lot of miles, was in Sedan two days ago.
