I converted my replay from last night into a video replay. Since I lost a couple really good replays due to the whole versioning thing I didn't want to lose this one too. The game was pretty much non-stop action start to finish. At the end I wasn't watching the final torpedo spread because I was watching the count down timer on my damage control. My brain was screaming PUT OUT THAT FIRE and then the Furutaka ate a torpedo. I cheered and threw my hands up in victory, and yes, my hands were shaking from all that adrenaline.

That feeling is part of why I don't do PvP anymore.  I hate adrenaline.

On the other hand, I've found that some of the people playing PvE are just... atrociously bad. As in I sometimes have to check to whether or not they're bots. Battleship players seem to be some of the worst. I've lost count of the number of times where I've seen a BB player either rush right in, try to ram a destroyer, and eat 8 torps for their trouble, or sit at the very edge of their maximum range "sniping", finishing the game with no damage taken and a few hundred points of damage done (at most).

I've seen that sort of thing in both (I did PvP for some of the ARP missions), just like I've seen certain PvE matches where I look down at the minimap and every other green ship is cowering behind a rock somewhere, scattered across the map.

So what if he doesn't say anything? That's not his job.

I cannot imagine that ending well.

Re: Rita and console: I didn't look too closely into what specifically happened there, but saying that they're unreasonably harsh to people who criticize the game definitely lines up with some of my experiences with WG outside here. Specifically WoWS.

I know, but the smaller team sizes in Co-Op means it's a lot more damaging to have two players that may as well not be there, especially if your team only has one BB, for example. If all you have are some cruisers, a couple DDs and a single BB, not having that BB out in front soaking shots drastically cuts down the survival time of your cruisers in particular.

http://www.chicagotr...0712-story.html

"The president, again on Twitter, pushed back Wednesday on the narrative of a dysfunctional administration, writing that the White House "is functioning perfectly" and claiming that "I have very little time for watching T.V."

At least 10 of the president's tweets since Monday have been about TV shows or links to videos from the Fox News Channel."

Also, while I normally find Salon biased and Alternet the left's version of bizarro-media... there's an important point in here:

http://www.salon.com...sident_partner/

It’s no secret that Trump received outsized media coverage early on in the 2016 race, nabbing in 2015 alone nearly 2 billion in free media (compared, for example, to Bernie Sanders’ $321m) — including much from Zucker’s CNN — on his way to securing the Republican nomination. While much of this coverage was negative in tone with a marketing product like Trump, there really is no negative coverage; so long as his name remained in the headlines, that’s all that mattered. CNN rushed to cover, for months, each and everyone of Trump’s manufactured controversy and did so to the tune of record-smashing ratings. CNN even hired Trump aide Corey Lewandowski while he was not only still under contractual agreement not to say anything bad about Trump, but was still collecting checks from the campaign.

Aside from raking in record profits riding the Trump spectacle as President of CNN in 2015 and into 2016, Zucker’s role in the rise of Trump is far more direct. Before taking over CNN in 2012, Zucker hired Trump to be the face of the reality show juggernaught The Apprentice while serving as head of NBC Entertainment in 2004. The show not only boosted the Trump brand, it almost certainly saved Trump from the brink of financial and marketing extinction.

As Washington Post’s Margaret Sullivan noted in her must-read summation of Zucker’s role in the rise of Trump, Zucker didn’t just help Trump to the White House — he’s probably single handedly the most responsible for doing so:

Looking for someone specific to hold responsible for the improbable rise of Donald Trump? Although there are many options, you could do worse than to take a hard look at Jeff Zucker, president of CNN Worldwide.

It was Zucker, after all, who as the new head of NBC Entertainment gave Trump his start in reality TV with “The Apprentice” and then milked the real estate developer’s uncanny knack for success for all it was worth in ratings and profits.

Zucker did so knowing full well Trump’s well-documented record of racism and sexism. Zucker hired Trump long after he stirred up racist sentiment in New York by calling for the Central Park Five to be executed in a 1989 full-page ad — despite not knowing if they did the crime (they were later found innocent of all charges). Zucker let Trump stay on as host of The Apprentice long after he repeatedly trafficked in the gross race-baiting of Obama Britherism. Long after he bashed“illegal aliens” on Fox News. Long after he smeared women with sexist insults for decades. Long after he accused the first African-American president of cheating his way into the Ivy League college.

Zucker knew he had a racist, sexist demagogue on his hands for years but did nothing — indeed, he actively participated in in the horror show — because he was making himself and his corporate buddies millions.

Fewer enemies offsets that, especially in the difference in makes in how cramped the maps feel.  In Co-op, it's at worst me versus 8.  In Random, it's at worst me versus 15, right?

First follow-up article is out.

We did not alter any of the player's words but we did guide him on how to write the article.

I still play from time to time and overall I'd say I find the PvE aspect of the game enjoyable. Reputation progression hasn't been my issue but a credit crunch has been. That very well could be because I have tank line ADD and tend to be all over the place. Some of the upcoming changes to in game economy and ammo types look promising. There are some frustrating things about the AI opponents and the damage model that drive me bonkers, but far less so than the toxic PvP stuff that generally turned me off to PvP-centric games. I don't really want to go into things too much because I would rather not run afoul of potential moderation for speaking too much about "the competition".

Oh look, the console Wargaming employee who likes to go into posts and moderate them for no reason other than "mah bruised ego!" Let's see if that kind of nonsense extends over into here!

Ya wasn't planning on going into too much detail for the same reason haha, was more asking due to how long the matchmaker was taking last time I tried to play (would have been months and months ago) to find a PvE game.  Granted this wasn't at higher tiers, but then again if the only people playing are at high tiers then that's just another definition of dead.

With respect to whatever is happening on M48, I am only vaguely aware that any changes are planned from overviews on this thread and Reddit. I'm currently in the middle of week #2 of my honeymoon, which followed a destination wedding the previous week, and the weeks before that I have been rather focused on issues more relating to said wedding, military, and other issues given my looming deadline of stopping work for a month and a half. I do not expect to be back in the office before August. I am officially switched off from WG events, only checking in tangentially. So, my lack of any comment at all about the M46 or M48 is simply a reflection of the fact that I have more important things going on in my life right now than to use up time (Now in Auckland) chasing down employees in Belarus to find out specifics as to what they are thinking.

As to the console post, introducing yourself is fine. But after you introduce yourself, that doesn't remove the expectation of making the introduction part of a constructive post. Whatever the merits of the other complaints about console forum, complaining about being moderated for that post of yours looks like you're trying to manufactureditional outrage and reduces the impact of anything legitimate.

Meaningless?  Do you never reposition in medium tanks?  I am WAY happier with my 4202 now than before.

All the time. But, after 1k+ battles in my 7/1 (and an additionaly 150 in the Mk. 1 and FV4202 combined) I can tell you that the speed buffs changed nothing about how the tanks play. They dont help them reposition, as a high top speed often isnt a requirement for repositioning along a ridgeline or within a flank, and they dont help them access positions relevant to their strengths, as the positions relevant to the tank were easily reachable with the 40kph top speeds. The only place where the speed can help out is at the end of a game during the clean up phase, but even then you still have to be a head of other mediums in moving because youre still slow compared to most other mediums.

The Centurions (and by extension, the FV4202) are 2nd line support. They dont need speed, because they arent meant to be wolf packing medium tanks or brawling medium tanks. Theyre meant to find a ridge that they can work to support their team from afar with their high penetration and accurate guns. And they adequate at this right now, but they need better gun handling to be truly good at it. The speed changes were the wrong changes to make, trying to shoehorn them into a traditional medium role when they wont ever be that. The changes that were needed were a larger DPM boost (for both Cents and the 4202) and better gun handling values.

Should I point out that you're directly contradicting yourself here, claiming you're out of touch with what's going on and only following this thread and Reddit yet you managed to not only read an entire article on Status Report but to also take precious time out of your day to comment on said article here?

That doesn't mean he's in touch with the office(s) much.  Can't comment on how he treats vacations but I'll often have some time here or there to do things online here or there.  I hate to say it but I think you're reaching here.

One requires five minutes on an iPad in an airport lounge (or coffee shop right now), the other requires a laptop and  VPN connection and a bit more time.
