Is the tiger P the worst heavy in the game? Next to the Black prince it is.

I hated it. maybe once upon a pre-gold time it was good, but now its just a slower tiger with a worse gun and very very large and obvious weakspots for anyone who can't just punch through 200mm of armor.

As for T 55A personal missions kicking my butt right now the one I'm most aggravated by is the block triple your damage and do 2k damage in a heavy; this is almost worse than the terminal mission for scouts.

The grind on to the next series of german heavies is just so slow and painful so far. The only people I have found that can't pen it are other Tiger P users ! :amazed:

How many times have they buffed the FV4202 now? Like 3?

- they buffed the terrain resistances ages ago to put its mobility on par with the Centurions

- then they buffed the top speed, again, to keep its mobility on par with the Centurions

- now they're buffing its engine and armour, which are going to make both its mobility and armour much better than the Centurions

With its new engine power, despite still being 100hp less than the Centurions, is going to be effectively better thanks to its amazing terrain resistances of the earlier patches. Then its turret armour has been made to equal that of the Centurion Action X, which might actually make it better than the new Caernarvon turret. Speaking of the Caernarvon, even the hull armour buff the FV4202 is getting is going to put its effective thickness to about the same as the Caernarvon's. Just ridiculous.

Next we'll see WG fix the actual FV4202 model, which will reduce its overall size. Knowing WG though they'd probably also buff the camo, because hey, it got smaller!

Maybe they should do something about its gun handling and other soft stats instead of taking a sledgehammer to the tank in an effort to make it "fit" in the game.  They evidently still know how to program soft stats, seeing as how the Type 59 is getting a soft stats buff.

Yeah, I'm stuck on that one, the Med-15, and the Arty-15.  I forget about what I need for Lights.

This US tech tree please? Some of the placements are a bit off, but the vehicles are there.

Can't do that, the 20-pdr's penetration is too high. "It wouldn't be balanced."

I'd rather they unrealistically nerf the penetration of the guns instead of pulling armor values out of their ass.  Penetration values can be explained away (look at their "explanation" for the American 105mm's penetration).  Explaining away a good 5 inches of extra armor that doesn't weigh anything?  That's quite a bit harder.

well, when you start with a tank that is the [edited]iest of the [edited]iest and easily the worst tier 8 I have ever seen, you need to give it a few rounds of buffs to bring it up to even reasonable levels.

idk wththis latest armor buff is though, its like spitting in the face of the whole reason to move the 4202 to begin with.

Oh yeah, there are definitely problems with it that I'm well aware of. I'm not particularly happy about the T162 Concept and its immediate predecessors, for instance. But this is simply a what-if that aims to cram as many tanks into the game as possible, in a way that both respects the tanks being represented and minds that this is in fact a video game, and I think I've been able to reasonably achieve that. I just need to keep writing articles there to explain my points.

Yet you didn't even include the M60A1. Your tier 10 M60 is no different than an M48 Patton with the 105mm M68, and is tier 9 material. Not to mention that your color scheme makes it all very confusing and almost impossible to read.

Fair enough about the color scheme, I suppose. But I wanted something that was easier to edit rather than looking pretty.

I didn't include the M60A1 because by what I've been able to gather on my initial pass, it would be too overpowered. Otherwise it'd be there in a heartbeat. But it is on my list of excluded tanks to revisit at a later date.

My process is to determine what tier a tank may fit in based on its guns, armor, and speed. I then create branches based on chronology or some kind of theme, and then go back to each tank individually and in further detail (my posts on the main page). You should check out the website, as I go into further detail about why things are the things they are over there.

Its too bad it'll still be garbage because the DPM and gun handling will still be trash tier.
