Because most of the international standards border on paranoid, being more concerned with catching any possible violators than with the rights of the athletes to a fair regime.

Under those standards, athletes are treated as guilty until proven innocent.

See also, the way it is presumed by several international sporting bodies that any female athlete whose testosterone levels are "too high" (by a medically ridiculous standard) is presumed to be doping, or transgender or somehow otherwise "not really a woman", and given almost no recourse.

Not going to touch the issue of gender and athletics, but what weighing the interests of athletes vs testers. Why would testers be paranoid? They're interest is in making money, same as athletes.  Making your standards too strict is counterproductive as a tester. If a tester fails too many athletes, they are risking losing their contract with the governing body.

Put it this way: Knowing what we know about detection times for most PEDs, what would be an acceptable testing regime? How often should athletes be randomly tested? How long should they have to show up? How many times can they skip testing before being flagged?

Honestly, I don't care enough to dig into it, it's another one of those issues where some people aren't going to be convinced that "everyone is doing it" until we have an enforcement regime that goes far beyond anything that's fair to the athletes.

Personally, I'm against mandatory drug testing for anyone doing anything, it smacks of "guilty until proven innocent" and is pretty much a gross violation of privacy.

The only sort of doping I'm going to invest any real emotional energy in getting upset over is when it's state-run or otherwise organized by those who have the power to coerce the athletes into doing it.

Also, I didn't say the testers are paranoid, I said that the standards are effectively paranoid.

My dude... I could have played 5 days (out of 14 total) of the past campaign and gotten the tank. There were players in the clan I joined who even played less who are statistically worse players that got tanks. It took no actual effort. The only reason I showed up every night was to ensure that I got all the camos.

Time is only so much of an excuse... and skill just isnt an excuse... given how many bad players I still see with the CW tanks.

I guess I'll start getting ready for the next Clan War.  Which tanks should I try and get to make myself more valuable as a recruit?

Fair enough. Whether testing should be mandatory for sports, I don't have strong feeling either way, I just come from the opposite angle as you on why. I'll just leave it as while doping is not state-run in the U.S. there is plenty competitive and environmental pressure to do it, particularly in team sports.  The reason people assume athletes dope is because countless surveys have shown it and there are simply too many reasons to take every advantage you can get when there are millions of dollars on the line.

Obj 140, BatChat 25t, WZ-111 5A, Type 5, Super Conqueror, Obj. 268v4, T110E4, FV 215b 183, T-100lt, AMX 13 105 were the main tanks I saw used in WONKA during the last campaign. We had other strats that used other tanks some times Badgers, sometimes Maus, sometimes Strv 103Bs. I used my CAX a few times and my M48 Patton once. There were some meme matches that were nothing but 113s. Pretty much search for a list of current CW meta tanks and get 2 or 3 of those.

Should be an interesting tier 9 (doubtful it could hang at tier 10 without serious massaging of stats). Question is if there will be a normal tech tree line of CBs, since the U.S. could actually do it with paper designs.

It still has the rudder upgrade. Tier 6 is when all ships get access to that equipment slot.

USS Alaska to be a tier 9 or 10 ship. Available for steel: https://www.reddit.c...entally_leaked/

Welp... never getting that ship. Not grinding ranked or CW for that much steel. Go [edited]  yourselves Lesta.

Welp. There goes what little reason I have for wanting to play WoWS.

If I'm interpreting this right, the Alaska will require some special currency like bonds so you can expect a ridiculous grind to get it?

A currency that you can essentially only get from Clan Battles and Ranked seasons (definitely from hitting rank 1, supposedly? also from other rank ups as well for both options). If you don't want to read the link Avalon gave.

You'd be supporting a group of talentless hacks who think putting the Alaska as a clan wars reward was a good idea.

I wold like to add that Steel part on Alaska is not confirm yet, it won't surprise me if was the case, which basically put 90% player base not be able to get it reasonably so.So will have wait and see.

Funny, they put Steel and Coal in the "rewards" for every battle mode including Co-op in the PTS.

Meh.

If it's only Ranked and Clan, I'm not interested.
