As Clan wars has become more and more irrelevant over that past years(with its issues), and for me the standard battle format has become mundane, as its been the format used since the first iteration of the game. The recent addition of Call to Arms(CTA) has been a much needed and pleasant addition for the end game content, and has become something clans can look forward to every week. In addition, with the cancellation of Clan league for the foreseeable future, CTA is the closest we have to some sort tournament for clans, and for me CTA should represent the top of end game content. To me this means league format or attack defense battle type. With the change in format it would give CTA an identity, other than an extension of clan wars. There is an obvious negative to league format, as it would take twice as long, as both teams need to play the attack and defense. Love to hear your opinion on the matter, also if you may answer the poll to have a visual and statistical confirmation of what players opinion's are.

I like that they are currently only an hour long commitment. Doubling the time requirement would remove some of the appeal.

Trying out Attack/Defense for CtA would definitely be interesting.

Would having it go longer be something that would prevent teams from participating?

Would it have to go longer? Like i get defense is a stringer side, but what if the number on games didnt have to change a lot, like if you win on one side then you do to the other, and then the final game have it both attack and defense. I know this might get some people upset they lost cuz the other team had defense well then that team would move on to an attack.

With an Attack/Defense setup I would imagine you would have to fight on each side or you just make it one sided depending on the map. Although if you can make smaller groups that could work.

If you only play one match per round, the system isn't smart enough to "know" if you played attack or defense. Theoretically, that means it's possible for one team to be stuck on attack or defense for the entire night.

The only way around that would be to play two matches per round, that way each teams plays one attack and one defense. A team would need to win both matches in order to earn the 3 points for a victory.
