My game client has been crashing much more often as of late, but the thing I noticed was that when I rejoin a crashed game, not everything works. The chat and alerts don't work (not even on the next games) until I restart the game client after the game is over. This was a bug I noticed many years ago but I haven't noticed it until now because my client crashes more often now.

A bug?  Wouldn't that affect everyone then? It may be that the game doesn't like YOUR setup but that doesn't classify it as a bug.  It may be a case of a process of elimination to find out what YOUR system doesn't like about the game. Hope you find out!

I haven't had this issue, perhaps it is client sided...

I recommend checking your mods or getting a fresh install of the game

Do you happen to run an AMD RX card? This has happened to me once I put that card in. Some spawns on winter maps will drop the game to desktop and when I come back in the same thing happens.

No chat or alerts until restart. I have read around and the AMD RX GPUs are having issues with the game.

Run the game in safe mode. fixes all sorts of these problems

diesel__1, to answer your question, no, it doesn't have to affect everyone to be considered a bug. However, it could be an issue which is specific to my machine, as you suspect.

_DangerNoodle, I don't have mods installed. I did take your advice and got a fresh install. I won't know if it helped until the game crashes again.

War_is_Hell, no. I am actually using an Intel processor with onboard graphics. :( It should be noted that the previous computer I had also had Intel's onboard graphics and it did precisely the same thing.

buttknuckle, I'll give that a try and see if it works. :)

Thank you all for being helpful. I'll reply back if anything changes.

Hi HorrorShow, please write in a ticket to our customer support department so that they can have you run a diagnostic check on your system and game files. This will help us determine why you're experiencing CTDs.
