Hi,

I got the Chinese Stuart during the On Track mission and it was pretty good.

Recently I got the US Stuart and upgraded it to the pom-pom gun, which fires 5 rounds every time you pull the trigger.

I need your help here...

The Stuart is pretty quick, decent for active scouting. But the gun is unlike anything I've ever used before. I can do the Hispaniola on the M2, and the 2cm on the Luchs, but the Stuart's pom-pom seems to fire too slow to shoot on the move - Also, the turret does not traverse quick enough to stay on target - which kills the whole run-n-gun thing.

Not to mention (god forbid) that an ally moves in front of you once you pull the trigger because you will put 3 of those 5 rounds into him (note slow turret traverse).

How do you guys deal with this?

Thanks!

I had to swap it out, I was a menace to my own team. It cost me a few Battle Buddy awards.

I would like it with a little more penetration and firing speed on that gun.  Seems like, as it is now, the only thing you can do is park behind an enemy tank and try to empty your clip into the rear before running away to reload... if you survive.

Funny, that's how I've been playing it:

Rush in,

hand-break turn on his rump,

POM-wait-POM-wait-POM-wait-POM-wait-POM,

run like hell,

die is a spectacular fireball.

Post on the forum "this gun?! right?"

From what I recall, the M5A1 Stuart is superior to the M5 Stuart in all the ways that matter.  I'd even say the M5A1 Stuart is one of the most underrated tanks in the game.

So the M5 Stuart.... Instead of active scouting, try passive scouting in the early phases of games. Vents, Binocs, Net.  I feel that's where you can be the most valuable to your team.  Then as the enemy disperses, and most of them are spotted, look for opportunities to flank and use that fully automatic gun/clip, then get out of there, reload, and repeat.

God the M5 is terrible. That was an awful grind. The M5A1 is so much better.

Think of the M5 as more of a late game/cleanup tank, and it might get less painful.

Either way, it's bad.

Careful in close quarters fighting.

Sometimes after killing the enemy your magazine still needs to empty the rest of the shots. You can at times he a close teammate by accident.

Follow this guide for passive spotting locations:  http://forum.worldof...ting-locations/

It's really satisfying actually.  Racking up thousands of spotting damage while you sit in a bush not far from the enemy who are entirely oblivious to your location, and I'm sure half of them are scratching their heads trying to figure out how they're getting spotted and where they're getting shot from :)

I grinded that when it had the 75mm howitzer. Was fun as hell!! Removing that 75mm was the killing blow for me, never gonna buy it back. I recently started the M5A1 chinese, and the top gun is pretty decent for its tier, although gun handling is typical chinese style.
