Hey howdy fellow tankers, Wargaming

In response to the new Grille 15 balancing, I have some ideas that I think you guys may like very much...

I will start by saying that I started a topic in the forumhttp://forum.worldof...e-grille-15-wg/  in which I stated complete dissatisfaction with the new nerfs to this very fun tank. I have now come to the realization that some of the nerfs are in fact needed, but I think some other reworks will be needed, in my humble opinion.

Here is the characteristics I would implement:

Proposal:

Test Server

Current

RoF: 3.49

RoF 3.48

RoF: 3.79

Reload: 17.19

Reload: 17.24

Reload: 15.82

Engine Power: 820

Engine power: 850

Engine Power: 900

Reverse Speed: 17

Reverse Speed: 15

Reverse Speed: 20

Gun Depression: -7

Gun Depression: -7

Gun Depression: -8

Gun Elevation: +16

Gun Elevation: +15

Gun Elevation: +15

Turret Arc: 55/55

Turret Arc: 50/50

Turret Arc: 50/50

Camo (Stationary): 14.98/2.2 %

Camo (Stationary): 7.87/0.83 %

Camo (Stationary): 7.87/0.83 %

Camo (Moving): 9.2/1.2 %

Camo (Moving): 4.73/0.5 %

Camo (Moving): 4.73/0.5 %

Turret Traverse: 18 deg/sec

Turret Traverse: 20.86 deg/sec

Turret Traverse: 20.86 deg/sec

Hull Traverse: 31 deg/sec

Hull traverse: 25.03 deg/sec

Hull Traverse: 24 deg/sec

Terrain Resist: 0.98/1.06/1.87

Terrain Resist: 1.05/1.15/1.92

Terrain Resist: 1.05/1.15/1.92

Aim Time: 1.42

Aim Time: 1.44

Aim Time: 1.44

You have probably noticed that I increased the camo rating. Well yeah, it's a tank destroyer, it should have some camo. It should perform similarly to the previous tanks in the line, because you get used to playing in tanks with good camo, then suddenly you are in a tank that has one of the worst camo ratings. I think that that is kind of a difficult transition. "Well Mr. Vanatorr..." you begin to say, "The Grille 15 has that bad camo because of its tall collision model..."

Well, you are right.

But I have reworked a picture of the Grille 15's model a little bit to show how this could be solved and make the Grille 15 perform more like a Tank Destroyer, and be more understandable to play, and also be similar to its predecessors.

Here it how I would like it to look, and would fix the height issue...

Well, tell me what you think, and don't forget to vote in the poll.

P.S. I hope you like this Wargaming.

I believe the new Test Server version is okay, but I think the Grille 15 needs a little more attention...

It behaves very much like a medium tank, instead of a tank destroyer. I think it should behave much like a faster version of the Waffentrager auf Pz. IV, and get an increased reload speed, lower profile, and better camo. Also decrease engine power further, but very slightly buff terrain resistance. Also very slightly increase aim time.

That is something i could live with. But i dont see many Grille 15 "acting like mediums", the (straight line drive by) speed and overall gun behaviour doesnt compensate the lack of hull traverse, camo rating and armor. Nerfing it even to the "Proposal" variant just kills a TD line most people dont see in battle anymore. i had about 100 battles in the past days and i can count Grille 15 with one hand.

Yes, that is true. The straight-line speed is pretty much all it has that makes it like a medium, but that is the term that everyone seems to be using on it. I did buff the traverse speed and reload speed on the Proposal Variant.

Here is how i would balance the grill.

-15 seconds reload, that is with BIA/CREW/PERKS excluding consumables.

-45kph top speed

-18kph reverse

-minus 100 hosrepower

Everything else leave it as is.

In fact, that IS the term brainiacs are using. They make a specific feature a general issue, when its not. Its frustrating sometimes. Ive seen the reload and traverse buff, even if its a slight twitch, but me, as a user of the Grille 15, would NEVER use the "behaves like a medium" phrase when it doesnt behave at all like one.
