Lag spikes have been a horrid issue since the release of the latest update (9.17.1). Is it a server side coding problem, or client side coding problem?

I do not know.  My game has been running as fast as ever both for ping and framerate.

Ya, lag spikes of up to 5 to 7 seconds. My system isn't registering anything unusual with the diagnostic during the game. No CPU jump, no high memory or network packet loss. The network ping tests to WOT came out good. It happens randomly, on both NA server, but more so when I am in a dog fight. I thought it was XVM so I uninstalled it to run without any MODs. Cleared WOT off the system, cleaned the user folders, reinstalled and the still happening. It has got to be the server code.

i never have lag issues and now i do.  i checked useing multiple interenet connects and they are all the same.  server lag is horrible on both servers. im watching my ping go from 50 to pegged out on east and 35 to 400 on west.

Same here. Pre update was 25-40 ping, now it spikes from 25-500 and after 8 seconds with my dot going red i 'lose connection' to server. I play other games no issues, this one has had bad lag spikes.

Same issue here. Game will lock up for several seconds, usually during an active fight. Removed mods and issue still there. No issue with other online games.

Fix your code WG.

I'm thinking it may be a server issue. I've never had a problem with lag like this until the current update. I'm going to stop playing and wait until it's fixed.

I've had the same problems, someone thought the game updater was the issue.  I turn it off in the task manager, I still get numerous lags that last about 30 seconds per lag. The game is now unplayable for me. I cannot play in any competitive events. No clan wars, no tournaments, only low tier pubs.

Unplayable 999 ping spikes lasting 30 seconds and than drops to 130's and than ip to 500 and than again 999.  game is unplayable since update. i play cod, bf and others and no issues with any game but this as same router and computer is being used.  Did reinstall, background program closes, different servers just about everything.  Any suggestions cause at this point i can't play

The game was running fine up until the micropatches this week (March 9).  After those the NA East server just become a series of lagspikes.  NA West has been unaffected for me.

I've been going back and forth with customer support and so far I've done everything from a clean install, to all sorts of DOS prompts, flushing this cache and that cache, checking settings on my router and firewall.  None of it has worked, the result is always the same.  NA West works fine, NA East is laggy.

If the problem were on my end I'd have to think that it wouldn't matter which server I tried connecting to it would be crap, but since West is doing fine on my computer I think it's got to be something on Wargaming's end regarding their NA East servers.  Feed the hamsters WG!

Looks like I'm stuck playing on the underpopulated West server until they get their NA East issues solved.

I found a fix for the lag spikes I was having. This puzzles me because I have a top tier 1070 Nvidia video card as well as a really top dog computer system. I will add this lag spike issue only happened with the 9.17.1 update. I ran on the highest graphics settings before the update.

The fix is set the graphics settings to "Custom" and details to "Standard", turn down some of the graphics settings. NO  MORE LAG SPIKES!!! YAAA!

I tried the recommended settings from Hitmouse with no Luck.

I have had constant high latency between 200 - 800ms since the patch release on 3/9.  Previous to the patch on 3/9 I was averaging 40 - 90 ms.  I have done all the basic steps of rebooting everything, reconnecting network cables, uninstall OMC modpack, reset router to default factory settings.  Still I continue to get the latency.
