Yes, yes they are.

What do you think? What is your favorite scout? Are you excited about Tier IX and X LTs? Which one will you get?

Favorite tier is 6. Since I can do this to big baddy tanks.

I would love to give the old T-50-2 a try and circle things while going 70+.

Well, I do love my M5A1. Have had some nice spotting games, mixed with getting in some good damage with the rather decent gun.

M24 Chaffee also is a fun tank. Some good spotting games, getting 3445 recently but haven't quite done as well in that as the Stuart.

Only two scouts I have, but scouting in mediums can also be very rewarding.

The Luchs is fun and one of the most "fan favorite" kind of tanks in the game.  The rest are lacking.

Tier 5 has some gems.  6 is pretty meh, but some people attach themselves to 1 and do great.  7 is good.  8 is better.  The lines all feel like they come to logical conclusions.

I have all the tier 8s elited right now and 100K EXP on the RU-251 and T-54 LtWt, so those will by default be the first 2 I get.  Then China, but that really depends on how they distribute the new tanks.

EDIT:  Glad to see someone else loving the Mt-25.  I've got 2 marks on mine and did almost all the T-28 HTC missions with it.

I'm not sure what to think about Tier 10 light tanks. Time will tell if they'll even be a worthwhile idea. I honestly believe the whole reason they're trying to match scouts Tier for tier is because they introduced platoon tier match rewards, and when people were intelligently and CORRECTLY matching their Tier 4 scout with their friends Tier 5 heavy, their platoon system still didn't provide the reward because...? It's not the same numeric tier. Which I suppose is fine for the toddler, one finger in mouth, other finger pointed at the screen, uttering "but its not the same teir". But... I'm not one of those. And neither are my friends.

I suppose this whole matching scouts tier for tier thing is to further this new philosophy that WoT needs to have the ergonomic approach and openness of a kindergarten playground.

Tier 4 scouts are the dumbest because they can still see top tier, while Tier 5+ scouts cannot. So of course, the Luchs is the best scout in the game period, because it can easily rack up several kills and up to 1000 dmg in a Tier 4 max game.

Tier 6 is a terrible place to play scout tanks... none of them are really as competitive in their tier at present as tier 5 and tier 7 scouts.  If you want the best SCOUT to play in the game at present, get an LTTB.  Nothing can touch it at a respectable tier for being a scout.  After the next patch, I have a weird feeling the T71 is going to be the darling.  If it gets a +2MM and doesn't get nerfed into the ground, its going to be amazing fun.

Tier 4 is just a fun tier to play, anyway.  You're always in a +1/-1 tier match, premium ammo is stupidly inexpensive compared to what you make for damage dealt, and it clears up some of the boredom that comes from playing the high tiers.  No need to seal club or anything like that.  You just play and have fun.  I've rekindled my love affair with my M3 Lee and the DW2 Derpwagon (yes, I enjoy the 75mm derp).

EDIT:  Thought that all tier 4s were only in +1/-1 tier games but I guess that is just the DW2.  Just got out of a tier 6 game in my M3 Lee and that was no good!

Personally I think that tier 5 has two absolute gems at scouting - the ELC with its amazing camo and the Chaffee with its amazing view range. Yes, tier 4 has some fun scouts (and the M5 Stuart too) but it is those two tier 5's that I keep returning to...

I run the 5 CM on the DW2. Not as cost-effective, but it'll still pen everything it faces.

No. Tier 7 or Tier 8 are the best. You get the actually fun tanks like the Bulldog.

I like the 5 cm too.  But, being derpy is just hilarious to me.

Also, guys, the Pz III E is pretty stout for a scout.  In fact, I have a hard time calling it a Light.  More like a Lidium hybrid.

Are lights the ones that buzz around me in my TD and are generally a real pain in the butt?

What a coincidence, I also like the Panzer III A (now E).

It's kind of like a high tier French vehicle; Great mobility, decent pen and alpha, but RIP gun stats.
