They probably buggered it up for all AMD users. It was crashing to desktop in battles for me also with an ATI 7950 3GB, when they did the big dx11 graphics update.
I only added -dx9 and it doesnt crash anymore.
C:\World_of_Tanks\WoTLauncher.exe -dx9
Didnt even need to do it to the main .exe, just on the launcher shortcut worked fine adding just -dx9

I've had no issues with crashes using my RX480, none whatsoever. Then again I follow recommended procedure before upgrading my Radeon drivers, and remove the old drivers completely in Safe mode before installing the new drivers. Also, I disable 'automatic driver updates' for the video card in Windows 10.

I went checking the AMD forums and they seem to believe that the Crimson 16.11.5 drivers are stable when playing WoT on an RX480.
A few players have tried it out, and so far it's working for them.
I suggest that anyone with this issue, to try it out.

Yes 16.11.5 is stable but the fact that there hasn't been a solution since that driver is actually stunning. The DX9 bat file works for crashes that are caused by winter maps but the game still randomly crashes for no reason at random times. The 17.3.2 drivers are worthless. How is wargaming not giving us a official statement on this. Its a widespread problem thats been known for quite some time but they are giving us the cold shoulder. AMD and WG need to come to a solution here.

Now on 16.11.5 and man its playing on ultra stable but every once in a while I get a black screen for a microsecond. At least texture flickering and hard locks are gone for now... but only played a few...
Edit: correction on that plenty of texture flickering still... oh well...

Same here - no probs at all with that same driver, except for WG's lag problem, and 'Shadow Quality' keeps resetting to 'Off' every time I enter or leave a game.

Odd my settings stay on including shadows. But I get screen flickers every so often and irregularly. The screen goes blank/green/black for a fraction of a second. Sometimes its rare so its so much less annoying Ill stick with it until they fix the newer drivers.
Am seeing some lag.
One thing tho I had to install the 16.11.5 twice to get the radeon settings manager to show up. Wonder if that is what is creating the flickers as google say its mostly with later drivers not that one.

This does not work neither does any of Wargaming's "solutions" nor any of the other ideas; alternate drivers, running vanilla in SD, Nothing and for me this has been going on for six weeks. I want my premium extended because of this issue and I want Wargaming to talk to AMD and get this squared away. I spend a lot of money here and I want some consideration as a result.
Sacred Valley and Arctic Region are the worst offenders (can't go anywhere near the stand of trees in the southeast on AR)
