A Clockwork Orange
Mirrormask
Inception
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind - really good Jim Carey film
Reign over me - One of those films where Adam Sandler doesn't make me cringe while watching
Also Stanley Kubrick fan.
Really enjoyed The Shinning, Clockwork, Full Metal Jacket, and 2001 Space Odyssey.
Favorite Sci-Fi is still the original Planet of the Apes from 1968.
Das Boot & Stalingrad were quite good directed by Wolfgang Peterson.
One Flew over the Cukoo's Nest is worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
Of course the original Dirty Harry.
Western and War films, not enough server space to list them all
Hard to narrow down a favorite in the different genres.

I watched this movie a few days ago, and I really enjoyed it:
*Btw, Vote for Pedro!

I've always loved this classic film...especially this time of year:
Some great acting here...Outstanding!

*Whenever I go into battle, I am sometimes reminded of that angry 'online-hate-spewing person', {in chat} that always seems to disturb and ruin everyones day {and game}, And if good people lack the courage to stand up and report them/call them out on their hate-spewing-vitriolic-online-garbage, then it's just going to get worse and worse in real life. Especially if it's not kept in check when they're still young and impressionable enough to change their ways.
^..On that note...
If anyone out there has not yet watched this film, American History X, I highly recommend it. Keep an open mind, and pay close attention to the story. You might find it very interesting.
Again...
*Hate speech is NOT free speech.
It always comes at a terrible cost to society. And, in the end, we ALL pay the price.

I don't know why, but I've always loved this film....especially this time of year:
And yes, before you comment....I agree, the book was much better. They usually are. The movie does have some incredible shots of the beautiful Greenland landscape. That was worth it, in itself.
Enjoy!

^..Hopefully it doesn't get to that point, but I'm afraid it could.
Anyway, I remember watching that movie decades ago. Some of the future predictions regarding climate change and overpopulation etc., I can already see happening. Sadly, it's another dystopian, yet realistic view of humanitys' future.

This is another classic favourite film of mine. It's about the battle of Stalingrad. And it's simply titled: Stalingrad.
And honestly, I recommend watching the original/English subtitled version {not the dubbed one}. Dubbing is so terrible.

Always hard to pick one favorite out of a lifetime of movies. I was big into the Formula 1 Racing back in the 70s. I saw both of these guys (James Hunt & Niki Lauda) race, but the actor who plays Niki Lauda has both the look, voice and attitude that Lauda actually had. I actually saw the accident (Live on TV) that almost claimed the Life of Niki Lauda.
It is by far, the best racing movie I've ever seen, so it is a favorite in one respect.

The Exorcist
If you were around when they first came out you would understand the impact they had. Scary stuff.
War movies: Platoon, Valkyrie, Downfall, Generation War and some of the old black and white movies Dambusters, Hunt the Bismark etc.

Those are all pretty good films, but I can't believe no one here has posted this one yet:
Uncommon Valor {1983}. Excellent story, and a lot of great actors in this film, as well. ~Cheers!

Heh just found these after looking up James Coburn scenes. Great parody spy action movies and some of James Coburns better performances as the slightly loopy know it all genius jack of all trades super spy Flint.

Here's another favourite film of mine that, I admit, I've been keeping close to my vest:
*And if it's true about the heart attack, get well soon, my Dude. We are with you!
