Red Dawn, 80's era American high school kids versus battle-hardened Russian and Cuban combat troops and it was no contest, the kids kicked butt!

Not sure Millennial high school kids could do the same, however.

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.....loosely based on the first ten novels of the Aubrey Maturin series written by Patrick O'Brian.  If ever a movie was great enough to warrant a sequel, this one was it, hands down.

Yep, I liked that one. The remake wasn't so good though. I prefer the original.

Still, one of my all time favourite WWII Battle/Tank films. Outstanding scene with the T-34's:

Stalingrad

If you don't already own your favorite movies get them on DVD before woke, SJWs censor them.

...And I'm 'dead-icating' this "great classic film" to the summer of 2020, may it rest in peace, forever {just like this *#@&*^%#&*^# movie}.

...

I recently watched the 2019 movie Midway and was very disappointed they left out an American hero. This man not only led Doolittle and his flyers out of China, he spent the rest of the war behind enemy lines in China serving under General Chennault. This is a man who deserves to be remembered.

I watched this film recently. I liked it. I has just the right amount of good-mannered British pompousness, with a nice mix of story and decent acting. Seeing the old WWI biplanes in action was cool too.

Loved trains as a kid, and this movie will always hold a special place in my heart.

I can't believe I almost forgot about this old warhorse...

Lee Marvin carried this film.

This is always a great classic film. Especially this time of year. Happy Thanksgiving, America. Think positive, and be kind to each other.
