Hello tankers!

We have been receiving reports of lag issues. We are currently investigating the cause of these issues and we would like to ask for your help if you are affected by the issue.

Please help us by downloading our check tool and running it during the time you are experiencing lag.

We would like to ask you to please compile and post an image of your Pingplotter log showing the packet loss.

You can download the Standard version of Pingplotter at the following:
https://www.pingplotter.com/download.html](https://www.pingplotter.com/download.html

Please follow these steps to perform a trace at the time you are experiencing Lag in game:

1. First please close all open applications (Including the Game) and torrents, DC-clients, ICQ, Web Browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and the like), and Mail clients etc. As these can interfere with the connection test results.
2. Launch Pingplotter and maximize the window.
3. Change the Trace Interval option in the lower left hand corner to 2.5 seconds.
4. In the "Target Name" field please type in the IP address of the server you are experiencing difficulties on and then press enter.

: login-p2.worldoftanks.com for World of Tanks West
: login-p1.worldoftanks.com for World of Tanks East

5. *Please allow this test to run for at least 20 minutes*
6. Please take a screenshot of the trace.

7. Finally, please reply to this thread with the results and a description of what kind of problem you were experiencing in-game (lag, freezing, disconnects).

We apologize for the inconvenience while we identify and fix the issue. Thank you for your help and understanding while we investigate this issue.

Not to be rude or anything, but alot of people have been experiencing lag for the past week (Info via streamers, people in battle, etc). Why is action only being taken now?

How are you supposed to know if you're having lag at the time if you're supposed to close out the client to run the ping plotter?  Given the intermittent nature of the lag, it seems more than just a bit absurd to not have the game running.

Am I surprised, little to none.

Wow, only took them about 10 days to realize the issue was on their side.

Mad props to WG for staying consistent.

I don't know how to post my pingplotter results here, but you guys do have it in an attachment from my support ticket # 992947

I can verify that my hardware and connection are not the issue because the cable company's technician just left the house.  He checked the router, the coaxial in the house, the main line in the building, and the connection at the box outside.  It all checked out OK.

The description of the problem I have been having since Thursday March 9th is the following:

In-game ping reads occasional spikes.  However, the ping reading does not match the game experience.

In-game controls do not work most the time regardless of the ping shown on the top of the screen.

Delayed input, or no response at all when attempting to control the tank.

Teleporting tanks on screen.

Lag upon spotting new tanks.

Shells firing through tanks and not hitting anything.

Delayed loading times into matches.

Delayed loading times back to the garage.

Delayed sound loading times (sounds don't start to play until several seconds into the match and then they all play at once).

None of these issues (with the exception of that sound bug) had been experienced prior to March 9th, 2017.

All of my other online games and applications run without issue.

Spoiler

Getting lag spikes every so often. Usually mild (around 300ms), but sometimes reaches 999ms for about 20-40 secs. That being said, i sometimes exit a battle to the garage and end up with "loading garage" unending loop.

^ This. Posting other nonsense will not help. GhostPrime's instructions is to help narrow down the problem(assuming it isn't on your end) so they can call that backbone/ISP and get it fixed. I think the days of us folks being able to call the provider of an internet backbone outside of our ISP ourselves and have them jump on the problem right away have passed long ago. If you're not a subscribing customer and/or a major business, they don't want to hear from you.

The problem only exists on NA East. If you play on West you will have none of the issues reported in this thread.

Anything in the first 6 hops is usually on the players ' end or players' ISP.  Bad spikes in the last few are the ones that WG may affect.

Bad spikes in the middle are on the Internet backbone network... And those girls don't GAF
