Routers sometimes don't respond to packets sent by packetloss programs. It will show packetloss, when there is actually none.

Maybe stop giving advice, to subjects you know nothing about.

Neferhor is correct. A lot of users are getting too worried about routers dropping packets. As long as the connection to the endpoints (login-p2.worldoftanks.com & login-p1.worldoftanks.com) are fine (no lag or dropped packets) then the network is ok. My problem is that I'm not seeing lag or dropped packets to the east server endpoint yet I still get game lag. I have yet to see the problem on the west server even though my pings are about double the east server.

I too would love to see everyone get premium time gratis. It's the least Wargaming could do for helping them troubleshoot the issue and dealing with the problem. I would think 7 days for everyone should about cover it. I'm not holding my breath though.

Packet loss is starting to pick up, running about 3% to East now.

Hope this helps.

when the lagg spike happens, I hardly see my ping going up.

Also, (my keyboard is OK) it seems that the tank keeps driving even though I stopped using the W keyboard.

Since the last mini update it has been bad. Constant 130-300 spikes and packet loss (little green/red flashes quite ofen)

Multiple logs in Ticket #995275

Short version, 2 bad routers on NA East route (5-20% packet loss each) and 1 bad router on NA West route (10-25% packet loss).  Two of em are bad enough to make it onto some "Router Watch" list  from DSLReports.

NA East Router: http://www.dslreports.com/routerwatch/if-ae-12-2.tcore1.NTO-New-York.as6453.net

-Also if-ae-14-14.thar2.NJY-Newark.as6453.net seems to reach 20+% loss at prime time and is right after that one on my route.

NA West Router: http://www.dslreports.com/routerwatch/if-ae-1-2.tcore1.SQN-San-Jose.as6453.net

-At this early time in the morning ping plotter says its already 16% packet loss.  Prime times must be terrible.

Maybe you can reset your local router of flush your DNS cache ...

I know the folks representing WarGaming and WoT in the support forums are trying to help, but frankly, this has been an issue off and on for nearly five years, immediately following the transition to Telia as a network / infrastructure provider.  I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some level of overt frustration to boil into the support threads, regardless of how un-helpful it might be viewed.

My experience on Friday going into Saturday was so absolutely horrible, I couldn't bring myself to log in on Sunday and probably today.  This puts my tankrewards and free T25 progress at risk.  I know it's my decision to avoid the game, but it is directly related to the incredible dissatisfaction I am having with my in-game experience.

the only thing remotely playable for me was arty.  firing AP at bad Maus drivers is only entertaining for so long before I log off, then switch to twitch, and watch one of a dozen or more streamers struggle with packet loss and seeing their red ping light flash like a fire truck's take-down beacon.

I have also been forced to play primarily arty only due to the lag which occurred right around the time of the great new release...

How many more f$#^$#^ing times do I have to drive off a cliff, or flip a tank because I can't control the damn thing. Trying to lead targets is mostly a wiff now, and I'm getting damn annoyed that after putting so much $ and other effort into this, your latency is still on un-acceptable levels. If this were a turn-based game, sure, stick with your crappy packet-loses, but if you need real-time feed-back where every fraction of a second is crucial... this is..

UNACCEPTABLE!

You make a great point - I too was switching between multiple Twitch streamers and all of them were impacted by and complaining about the issues.

*Update from last post*

The route through Telia I reported has been fixed, the route is now static for Telia. This has helped the in-game performance. I am still reporting inconsistent gameplay experience though to a lesser degree. During these events, ping plotter reports a 0.3-1.0% packet loss on dc11-n5596-fe-1-vl231.fe.core.pw, 0.0% ping loss during gameplay otherwise.

If the ping would just stay steady it would be playable.  But it's so unstable that inputs are lost or not stopped when the player releases the key.

The fact that it's happening to different people at different times means one player gets to mine the affected players for easy HP,  Affected players on the other hand experience extreme frustration

I'm seeing 0.3% packet loss to that hop over the last 3 hours but getting 10% to the East server itself.

They don't.  Backbone service providers treat big companies the same way your ISP treats you ; long hold times, it's your fault, we'll send someone out next week, it's still your fault.

No.  I've been down this road with them many times.  I cannot tell you how many hours of my life have been spent arguing with my ISP's Tech Support, filling out tickets to WG, working with WG's team and even calling Backbone providers.

The last time this happened - I figured out which BB provider was causing the problem (hint: it wasn't Telia).  See, e.g. http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/386181-lag-freezes/page__pid__7773307#entry7773307 (From 2014)

I'm only saying this stuff to help those who are frustrated (like me).

Edit: Kudos, JD on your sig; when I saw your name I remembered you trolling with alt accounts back in the day...

Can someone please explain to me who's fault my lag in WoT is?

I normally play on the West server as it's got better ping. But I tested both servers this time...

West:

East:

Sorry not on forums much so don't know how to have "Spoilers"

I can guarantee it is on WG's end, mainly due to the fact so many are reporting it, no matter who their ISP is. I connect from the EU i expect ping of around 70-90(90 at the most when i am not streaming) is acceptable. But recently it has been double this, without any change in my system.  Then the Packet loss has been even worse. The light is continuously solid red.

Just because some people report problems and others don't doesn't meant there isn't a problem, it just means you don't have the problem, in which case you shouldn't even be in this thread, reporting no problems.
