Back on Topic. I still run with the chat open even though some people do get vile in a game that is supposed to be relaxing and fun. I wouldnt disable your chat because even though people are nasty, you still get the small chance of bumping into that one person who is honestly helpful and its worth filtering through the gunk to do that in my opinion.

I see why I have not played in four years. Still a lot of cheating going on. Using dead players to spot for them. I am glad I never invested money in this game. Its a nice free to play distraction  between real PVP matches.

Have fun kiddos.

I get how toxic the dead people chat is. I am sadly a guilty person of this. BUT...sometimes the dead say something useful. Like pinging where a arty shot came from for counter battery, or saying what tanks hit them to warn freindlys.

I remember a different game where dead people could still chat, but the living would not hear them.

Pretty good solution, avoids abuse.

So when someone with more situational awareness than you is trying to point out some key detail that you've missed, or is providing you information that you can use to be more effective, you'd rather ignore them?

As the saying goes: you can lead a pubbie to water, but it'll usually just drown itself to spite you for daring to notice that it was dehydrated.

I always ask my teammates who got taken out what HP is left on remaining enemies. I mean it is so easy to ignore the idiots and concentrate on the ones that actually are trying to help you win.

IRL, do you realize that when a tank is knocked out of a battle, that does not necessarily mean it's radio is knocked out as well.

Very true.  Often as among the last tanks alive I've used information from dead players such as remaining hp or where last seen or advice to still get the win.

Yes there are fools who are an annoyance when dead just as when they are alive but throwing out the good just to get rid of the bad makes no sense.

I could care less about dead tanks who chat too much...TAB > Right Click their name > "Add to Blacklist"

Now command/map spammers on the other hand need some autobans...those are far more common to the point where my ears want to bleed.

One of the things to remember is just because your tank has been destroyed doesn't mean the crew itself died so some "communication" could be possible but in reality I fall in the "The Dead Should Be SIlent" category.
