Why should I give a 5-kill guy a top gun?

The other issue is that some people have chat turned off. I never even look at the kill count during the match, so if I had chat off I would never know someone was asking for it. So getting pissed at someone about taking the last kill is silly.

No rule, just common courtesy, the guy obviously did good getting 5 kills Why would you deny him the 6th for what 390 damage, just rude and selfish

Still E100 had no right to TK you that is clear

The tanks on your team are your allies, they help you win, if the game is solidly won dont be selfish let the others get a good time too, imaginary medals are irrelevant but it si a nice thing to get and after all the verry next game it may be the other way around and when the other guy helps you how would you feel remembering that game ?

if he asked nicely and wasnt a [edited]you shoulda let him get a single attempt at it. if he missed then take the kill.

Pretty much this.

The only time I ever take the last kill from someone about to get a top gun or better is when I'm not paying attention to the team lists and kills. Other than that, I let the guy have it. Costs me nothing and maybe down the line when I'm about to get a Radley Walter's or something, karma will be on my side.

Not sure why you wouldn't let the guy get top gun. Getting that last kill is meaningless for you in that battle. You xp and wn8 are already through the roof with 4K damage and 3 kills. That last kill clearly means more to the guy with 5 kills (or 7) then to pretty much anyone else.

OP seems like the kinda guy that would take the last kill from his platoon mate instead of letting him get it for BIA. :sceptic:

Eh, why not...

What special thing were you going to get for the kill.  Was that 100 damage going to get you something.  My guess is that you both are playing combat Tier 7 or higher to be talking about 4K damage so is a Top Gun really special for either?

Maybe you should have capped :-}

As far as a TK - that was immature at best.  That guy is a turd.

If you can kill a tank kill it.

Anyone begging their team for kills cares too much about a make belief medal and at the same time does not wish to earn it.

You want 6 kills? Kill 6 tanks. No one owes you anything.

Try to bait better next time. 2/10.

Too many people are hung up about being nice in regards to this issue. Taking the kill isn't being a [edited], it's not being "not nice". It's playing the damn game. This is something optional, something you can do if you like and feel the other guy deserved it. It should in no way be expected or mandatory.

To condemn other people playing the game in a non-obstructive way as they see fit is simply absurd.

I guess it depends on your type of personality.  I have let another teammate have the kill for a Top Gun and I can recall at least 3 times in my history where another player obviously backed off and allowed me to get my sixth kill, and I didn't ask for it.  If the outcome of the battle is not hanging in the balance, I don't mind letting a teammate have the kill for an award.

If it was a Pool's, that's another story. Top guns are pretty common. Surprised that [edited]ters even care about them.

Failed bait? You just replied to my post. That's a successful bait!

Stop denying the facts, you were kicked off the EU server. No proof? It holds true.

He asked!  To most including me that's enough to let the guy have it.  Its called being a generous person.  I know WoT is filled full of self centered, egotistical, one way people who find themselves to be the all mighty when they do well.

Such a ' large matter ' made from mere ' top gun ' there....

Oh my....

But Indeed, PEOPLE HAVE TO LEARN

TO EARN SOMETHING FOR ONCE.

I WANT IT NOW!

Mentality takes you NOWHERE.

Actually Combat Tier X...

Did you earn the kill by damaging the last tank prior to the 1 shot - or did you Kill Steal it?  Really, nobody earned it except the arty.

But, my guess is that neither of these players - or some on this thread - will support a great game of yours if you need on Kill Steal for an advanced medal.  My guess is that a decent percentage of final kills on an advanced medal may have some element of partnership.  Heck, I've SEEN it on many of the YouTube videos out there - some of which went to players not on the Team Speak circuit the YouTubers were on.

Not only did the other person care about the silly top gun, but also apparently felt so entitled that some team killing started when the "request"  was denied.

I guess it wasn't a request was it? It was a demand. In hind sight isn't it good that the kill wasn't given to a team killer who makes demands on their team mates?

You're under no obligation to give them the kill, they had a whole game to earn it. I'll only do so if I'm feeling generous and have seen that they really carried.

All the people arguing that you should have fed him either haven't realized that you can get 5 kills with a total of 5 damage or they have realized that but want to maintain the facade that "I got a kill so I did my job!".

So I guess the 5 kills were just dumb luck as the cat walked on his keyboard. What if he had already wore the sixth tank down to a one shot who slipped around a corner and some no damage pubbie in a faster tank was gunning for the kill. Still same attitude?

Well put. If it's an @sshole, no way I would give away the kill. But if a team mate does really well and asks, politely, why in the world should I refuse?

This is up there with apologizing after a team kill by mistake. I don't care, it is courtesy to apologize.
