Fix it or perish.

It has been really bad lately. Usually my ping is 30-80ms and I am getting LAG, ran with no mods, still has issues.

You do realize that, no matter that the internet is pervasive, the spate of fairly rough weather we've been having is affecting the entire system to some degree.  When a leg fails due to weather, the other bits have to take up the slack through redirection.  The more load on the already burdened portions of the system requires more time slicing, thus more lag and ping.  It's been bad, because we've had some very large, bad weather systems blowing in pretty frequently lately.

At least, that's how I've been reading it.

I'm consistently at 250-400ms. because in addition to the worthless garbage fire servers Wargaming employs, I'm stuck in Europe while they can full-well do server transfers (and frequently do for RU supertesters), but refuse too because 'muh NA server numbers'.

I have another three letter word that kill online games.  You.

Just kidding, but since it fit in to the topic I though it would be funny.

But yeah, lag isn't fun.  My ping loves to randomly spike at time, so I know how you feel.  I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my connection though :(

You are confusing ping with server lag. Ping is how long it takes for a signal to get there and back. Lag is a slowdown in processing.

My ping is between 30 and 100, depending on the server, which is ok, it's the spikes of 999 all the time that suck.  These stupid [edited]at WG [edited] there servers again on an update and refuse to do anything about them.  What a company, never give these [edited]any of your money.

Im running direct line fibre op, 150/50 internet with my usage board up. I'm getting great ping between me and server but game still eats [edited], disconnects, and has ping spikes like no tomorrow.

Reset modem and no change, reset computer and no change, call provider and no change. if only one could call WG and tell them how bad this is getting.

Cite your source. Has WG stated their problems are weather related?

Cite my source?  The weather channel.  Satellites, microwave and even hard lines can be affected by bad weather.  Really cold weather makes it hard to heat co-location centers in Wisconsin, Michigan, Utah, Kansas, New York, etc. and that makes for spotty connectivity.  I don't need to have WG 'prove' that to me, nor should you.  We are still, even in this day and age, subject to the power of nature.  If you don't realize that, there is nothing I can do but hope for our survival in the longer term.

Then I would expect WG to use this as their excuse in order to get all the players off of their case.  So far, we've heard nothing but "we're investigating" which is sad.

we are investigating is a perfectly valid response. most of these companies have SLAs that govern their choises of what to do, and sometimes its contacting those ISPs and rerouting traffic through less congested, yet longer paths, since adding 10ms ping is preferable to having 3% packet loss.

If you are lagging for awhile, then play arty or camper TD for the time being.

There is probably a phone and maybe even a fax number out there somewhere if all else fails, I doubt that WG is even really paying attention except a couple of forum staff.
