Someone please explain in a logical way why a tier 5 medium is in a tier 7 battle roughly 75% of the time? And, why, in said battles, are there usually more heavy tanks on one side compared to the other? So, to wrap up, a tier 5 medium in tier 7 battle with an abundance of tier 7 heavy tanks. Someone please explain this, for I am simply without a logical explanation. Thanks in advance.

INB4 "git gud" comments.

What you are experiencing is a known flaw in the current MM. WG is currently testing a new MM system that should theoretically remove most if not all instances of this....maybe.

Except the part where you can see t7 tanks - this is normal and not a bad thing

Thanks so much for those enlightening few words. I thought maybe it was something I was doing wrong.

It doesn't happen that way the number of times you claim, and I guess you think your medium should always have an advantage over any tank it sees.

It all comes down to MM population.  If there are too many tier 8 tanks in the queue the tier 6 tanks will be pulled into more tier 8 battles.

What is interesting about this topic is a person with 23000 matches asking what should of been quite obvious to them a long time before now.

Whats even more interesting is how a player that's has15K games has little clue on how the game is played and cant even break over a 46.5% win rate

YET they still come to the forum and belittle others with no valuable input, when its obvious they should be spending any/all their free time watching any You Tube Vid they can so they better themselves!

This, sort of

It depends on how many tanks are available for each tier +- 2 of your selected tier.

Valid question.

The oh so gud players love their cannon fodder, and Wargaming does not listen to advice from normal players, only their highly competitive gold league funsies.

3 tier matchmaking, esp. since it does not take into account the type of tanks, ends up in BS most of the time.

Same tier would be ideal, 2 tiers more or less ok.

At least it should be an option (like assault game mode, etc.), so if you like to get molested by Maus & Co in your T8 tank, you can continue to do so, but if you like fair matches, you should not see anything but your own tier or one above OR below.

Unfortunately this seems unlikely to happen.

So we will have to deal with the nonsense (Defender is the last prem I will buy - I get Tier X matches 60% of the time, the rest is T9 with a few accidental T8 games in between... ) or play only tanks like the Valentine II (sees only same tier) - or quit.

Tier 6's have to face alot of tier 8's as well is the trend more inf avor of tier 5 metting tier 7's or tier 6's meeting tier 8's?

Because that's what is in the queue. MM has no control over what vehicles players have selected when they click the battle button.

I honestly believe that this subject HAS been explained (ad nauseam) in a logical manner in at least one or two threads per week, if not one or two per day.  The sad fact is that, I don't believe that the subject can be understood by many of those seeking to blame some outside agency for their lack of ability, because the explanation that is logical points to one startling conclusion each and every time.  This creates what is known as Cognitive Dissonance where two contradicting notions cannot easily rest side by side in one's mind and so that logical explanation simply must be wrong.

At that point, nothing further can be said to that person who asks for, but isn't really honestly seeking, that 'logical' explanation.

You all have fun anyways, because that's the point of playing games, right?  I'm having a great time, most times, even in some losses.  Why?  Because I don't seek 'logical' explanations for why some things happen.  I already think I understand it fairly well and have no real issues with it.  The answers are out there and they will find you if you let them.

lol. The game would be vastly different to what it is now if WG listened to Gold League players. Most of WGs decisions are taken with the Russian pubbies in mind. And those guys like the +/- 2 MM.
