we all hate it when the cowards on the enemy team drown themselves at the end of the battle, denying the victors their well earned HP.  How about WG give players the option for the crew to abandon the vehicle or commit suicide, whatever it doesn't matter. The point would be that the coward gets to leave the battle and go play again, while the victors still get the hit points by shooting the abandoned tank.

Then there are the xvm people, that see if a game isn't going to go well for them and abuse this method. I understand how frustrating it can be when enemies kill themselves, but there isn't a solution for it. I had a game where a arty player shot his platoon mate just to deny me a top gun and arty medal. Amazing how far they will go. lol

Can't you just hit escape and go back to the garage? Why do we all of a sudden need a suicide button for lazy people?

guys it was an obviously sarcastic topic...

but to your point, if they hit escape to leave the battle their tank exolodes thus denying the opposing team the HP

Players that suicide ought to lose all their crews skills, of the tank in which they suicide, and be forced to start over at increasing their crew skills/perks. This is the only honorable way to deal with traitors to the team.

And that time I drowned with my 5 skill batchat crew trying to dash across the field on mali and misjudged the dismount into the lowground?  I should lose that crew because some people get butthurt about arty [edited]quitting early?  Lets have a little moderation here.  The punishment must a) only target the people that suicide maliciously, and b) should be proportional to the crime committed.

You cant monitor intention verses accidental. Its no big deal so you lose a kill and a few credits big deal. The [edited]that drown themselves are denying themselves a possible blast in the face kill at the end which is always fun. What do you expect from the entitled its all about me generation that makes up the majority of the games population.

So you're mad that your troll thread got counter-trolled thereby ruining your trolling fun. That sure is a troll bummer.

If they could bail out of the match, some other player who loses their tank should have the option of taking over their tank.

Yes, I agree, but how can that be determined? It was my emotions speaking, not so much my logic.

The thing is that you don't want to hammer somebody who makes an occasional mistake, you want to hammer people who are abusing the system. So what you want to do is to identify a pattern of behavior. Thus you need to set up a system similar to what they're doing to handle team kills. Only instead of comparing a person's team damage done to total damage done you would be looking at how many times in the last hundred games that they "accidentally" killed themselves.

For experienced players one might set things up so that 2 "accidental" deaths or less in the last 100.games are ignored, and 3 or more start generating increasing penalties. For noobs who don't know what they're doing and are likely to foul up more often the threshold could be higher. An example:

Account has less than 1,000 battles - accidental deaths not tracked

Account has 1,000 - 2,000 battles - more than 6 accidental deaths in last 100 games results in penalties

Account has 2,001 - 3,000 battles - more than 4 accidental deaths in last 100 games results in penalties.

Account has more than 3,000.battles - more than 2 accidental deaths in last 100 games results in penalties.

It's not a perfect system, but it should allow people to make an occasional mistake without suffering a penalty and keep the abuse of the system down to a dull roar.

I think that is his point. Maybe out of shame he performed a demonstration.

I laugh every time someone drowns at the beginning of the battle in Derpenburg, kind of funny.
