One more thing to add........Yoott was asking....why has it appeared now, after so many years?

"Thus, the M6A2E1 returned, upon seeing heavy tanks like the Jumbo Pershing, Object 252U, IS-3A, and the AMX M4 mle. 49 coming to the battlefield, intent on claiming their place as the most powerful Tier 8 heavy tank.....The Monster had returned, to show this....fresh meat.....just why the name 'Mutant 6' sends shivers up the spines of all Unicum players.

Mutant M6 for sure.

  1. The final picture in the article--the one dated March 26--clearly shows the gun barrel. If you look at the visual model of the Mutant, the gun barrel--particularly the muzzle break--matches exactly.
  2. The entry above the bottom, dated February 28, shows the rear of the tank very distinctly. If you look at the model in tanks.gg (http://tanks.gg/tank/m6a2e1/model?vm=visual), rotate the turret so that it's over the left rear of the tank, and then look at it from about a 30 degree angle to the right rear, it matches the picture almost exactly. The gun mantlet matches the outline, and the shading of the rear end matches the depression from the exhaust of the Mutant--darker in the middle but lighter along the edges.
  3. The tracks in the picture are very wide, which looking at the Mutant's tracks are almost double-wide.
  4. The eyewitness accounts also give several big hints. "It had a huge head...I tried to scare it away by throwing rocks at it, but they just bounced." What are two things the Mutant's known for? It's ridiculously large turret, and it's trolly hull armor. Both fit this account. "...it was monstrously huge! Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but I doubt anyone would consider this object to be beautiful." The Mutant's also known for being very large, much taller than other tanks of its tier, and is considered one of the ugliest tanks in the game. Finally, the last eyewitness: "I heard rumors that this object existed, many moons ago." The Mutant was the beta test tank iirc, and that was now five years ago--certainly "many moons"!
  5. The first picture, above the one showing the rear of the tank, also shows the angled but smooth front of the tank. This fits the Mutant's upper glacis.

P.S. A hint for anyone that wants to see for themselves what I said. Enlarge the pictures using your browser view, and they won't be distorted any--I set mine for 500%, which took up nearly the full screen, and was able to see details quite clearly. Also, I'll be posting some pictures here in a moment to more accurately showcase what I'm describing.

I have no idea what is going on.

It's an unidentified object. We're looking for clues as to what it may be!

Hire a new photographer.... those photos are blurry and out of focus. :P

Meathead is still a bit new at this picture thing. I guess that's what happens when you "volunteer" someone for the position *whistles innocently* We'll send him back out to the field, see if we can get something better for y'all ;)

I disagree, look at the gun barrel of the T-103 compared to the picture--they're very different. In addition, if you look at the picture showing the rear of the tank, the shading and shape is wrong. Plus, the eyewitness accounts/article all say that it is "returning" and not "emerging," thus hinting that it's something we've already seen and not new thus hinting that it's a vehicle already in the game but extremely rare rather than a new/supertesting/leaked vehicle.

It was a tank, but the lag on the NA East made it disappear.

I'll pick it up, of course, but what the US line needs is a Tier VIII TD for crew training.

I was contemplating buying the WZ-111 when it was on the buffet. I didn't end up doing it and now I regret that. The White Tiger skin sounds cool and I will most certainly be picking it up if it goes on sale.

It's a new tier 8 Soviet Tank Destroyer.

Spoiler

I can prove it with the cred I get from my thread over here: http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/536471-how-good-is-your-eyesight/

The T-103 TD doesnt even have a muzzle brake while the last pic on WG page you can clearly see that the UAV - Unidentified Armored Vehicle - does have a muzzle brake.
