I'm not going to comment on the "vet" remark. If you are the type of person to take a jab at vets you are obviously unworthy of a retort.

It is not my intention to insult or diminish any vet's service to the nation. I'm not an American, but since America is viewed as the world's beacon of freedom and individuality, I felt your "nobody should have something better than what I have" stance bizarre. Doesn't it chaff against the values you swore to protect? Honestly confused.

Hi guys, let's avoid the personal attacks shall we? Let's get back on topic.

Thanks.

I keep coming back to see what "gift" beta testers are actually going to get. In all honesty I think this topic should be closed already. Nothing constructive is coming out of it.

I find it interesting that as tod runs out of applicable content he invokes the violation of forum rules.

I would strongly suggest a review of your comments and the self application of said rules.

We thank you for the entertainment you bring.

Agree with the back on topic guidance.

This is simply about how WG broke a promise and alienated many of their core supporters.  Its between them and WG.

New owners have their tank, and can be happy.  No ill will towards anyone who bought one.

Its about integrity and a concern about future viability of a business due to their practices.

Promises were made, and promises were broken.

Those impacted can express their dissatisfaction in many ways.  Financial/public/professional.

Its quite simple:  Facts are facts, and opinions are opinions.

So now the impacts get to be weighed.

I bought the Mutant pre-release. I bought it to support the game. When I bought it nobody had ever heard of wargaming, but after played closed and open beta I loved the game and wanted to give them all the help I could to make it. They weren't EA or Sony, and frankly were taking a risk bringing this to the US. The game had done fairly well in Russia at that point, and when I joined in CBT it was still only 2 nations (Maus vs IS7 over and over and over and over..) I didn't buy the Mutant to have a special tank, I bought it to help the company get a leg up and to support them. That being said it was nice to get a t8 premium when it was the only one, and it was awhile before the Lowe came along to add an alternative. When the packages were presented, it was presented as an exclusive "You support us and help us get rolling, and we will remember you for helping us get here by giving you and exclusive that tells others that you were there from the start!" thats not a quote, but it was what the devs made you feel. There were constant reminders of how much time was left to buy a package.. this was also when devs still played the game and you could actually get to know them by name. I was happy I could help, I was proud that I was a "Founder" of the game here in NA.. and I loved playing my Mutant and people ohhh'ing and ahh'ing over it.. till everyone figured out the weak points and then it wasn't so fun anymore.

So yes, I am a little put out over them putting it up for sale again. I am not going to quit playing or paying for my premium or stop playing my M6.. but it is a bitter little stab that after supporting them with gold purchases, monthly premium payments and 20 or so premium tank purchases over the last 6 years that I got kicked in the teeth and that the community that I helped to build just laughs and says I was stupid for ever trusting them in the first place, while wargaming sits and laughs at us with them. It isn't going to stop me from playing, but I now know where I stand with wargaming as a customer, their customer support people must have trained at the same place United Airlines customer support people did.

I bought a pre-release package for World of Warships as well.. but in that case it was made clear the ship would be exclusive for 1 year only, and after that it was up for grabs. Got a beta only battle ship thats unique still.. (For this week anyway) Warships didn't take off like Tanks did, so while I got my money out of warships, it has been a bit of a wash. I played beta and bought a pre-order deal with Armored Warfare.. it has petered off now.. thats a loss. I bought a pre-order for warthudder.. it has now gone off in some weird direction as well.. thats a loss.. I don't consider World of tanks to be a loss.. I still love the game 6 years later.. thats another reason this sucks.. I wouldn't have been as dissapointed if Armored warfare stabbed me, and let not get started on the $1K+ I have into Star Citizen at this point for a game that may or may not ever even release! lol.

I hope Wargaming will come through and make this right in some way.. at least make an effort to try something

So well said, it should be read again.

I don't want the "same status of a beta" player on my tank. I just want the tank that was recently sold (which is the same tank that was available during pre-order). Regardless of how you feel about it WG made the decision to re-release the tank again and I like many people took advantage of it. Retroactively downgrading my version so other people can feel "special" is not what about 2,000 people just spent money on.

P.S. You guys seem to be confusing "Beta" players from "Pre-Order" players. Beta players already got a "special" Beta tank: the M4A2E4. Anybody with $100.00 back in early 2011 could Pre-order the Mutant package. Stop acting like Beta testers and people who pre-ordered the game are the same thing. Now if they sold the Beta tank then maybe I would feel bad for you guys. Also, I'm not going to comment on the "vet" remark. If you are the type of person to take a jab at vets you are obviously unworthy of a retort.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.  Just wow.  "I'm OK with the original mutant owners getting bent over, but gosh darn it, I better not get bent over!".  Ha ha ha ha.  OMG, someone call Websters, we have a new definition of hypocritical....

Maybe if we ignore TodSoldat he'll just go away. The forums flooded with his 'opinions'.

Just a suggestion. I think he thrives on the attention. I know I will not address anything else he has to say no matter how much he trolls this, and other threads.

I'll be curious to see how Wargaming finally deals with the original mutant owners. I hope they do something that rewards them for 'betting' on this game. I personally think the least they could do add a special emblem to their mutants that shows they were the original players.

it better be more than a lousy emblem no one can see.  it better be 3 (1 for each season) camo skins...

36,000+ views.  the community is watching to see what WG does to make amends.  Will WG leave the broomstick all the way in, or will they remove it.  Huge amount of hate and distrust created by this fiasco.  So I really hope they do the right thing.  WG, just a reminder, the beta-mutant should have 2000 base dpm, remove turret ring weakspot on front, 3 seasons of unique camo.  We are waiting...

-

(No really, the mutant needs a buff to compete with the defender, patriot, and liberte.  Oh, as for the people who just bought one, they can have the buff in 6 years...)

Not only are they going to leave it in , but they are going to break off the broomstick in your derriere so that the sharp ends will keep it from coming back out.

If only it were as clear cut as you'd like to make it out to be. Many people who support this game don't feel alienated nor do they feel WG broke any promise, it was a package after all not a tank. I collect tanks, I enjoy this game, I want to be able to support this game by buying tanks. As long as they don't start selling tanks that were earned with skill, such as CW tanks, then I honestly don't see what the problem is. For the most part the complaining has sounded like it was coming from children or jilted lovers. If I were the corporation I'd give each of those people the old two fingered salute and then quote Eddie Murphy by asking, "What have you done for me lately?" Anyone who has been acting like a child over this and busting the chops of WG doesn't support the game so they have no right to try and use the old "I supported the game way back when" as a debate point. A company has to make money, it's a free to play game, they also have to address the complaints of the players. How many threads are there about how they need to get better servers? That costs money. New maps are another thing, designers have to be paid. In fact any complaint that has been leveled against game play takes money to fix. One cat even said they coulda just sold some new tank if they wanted to make a quick 100k. While it might sound accurate to some the truth of the matter is that R&D on new tanks takes money so it wouldn't have been the 100k profit. The Mutant already existed and wasn't game-breaking so it makes sense to release it with a $90 package. I'd also like to continue to see rare tanks released for sale as single tanks or a package containing them as was done with the Mutant.

How does spending money six years ago equate to being owed anything now? I mean I could understand if it were something earned, in which case I wouldn't have bought the package, but nothing was earned money was thrown away and forgotten. How many decades does it take before you consider having your money's worth? I'd hate to imagine what you expect your auto warranty to be like

So TodSoldat as in "I do my best never to lie" in response to WG lying.... Suspect WG employee. Maybe why he can keep violating the Forum Rules over and over, and why he keeps [edited]posting, because he can.

Secondly,
If you haven't figured it out yet, WG is lying AGAIN about the gift. Not sure why any of you would keep playing this game.
