Please do NOT continue with this ridiculous stun effect with the artillery, experiencing it in the sandbox was unbearable, and as someone who dislikes artillery probably more than your average player I would rather get one shot by arty then being stunned by arty for an entire match.

I think while stun is obviously much better than the constant RNG one shot mania that is the current SPG system, I'm not sure it's going to be enough to stop the widespread arty hate... At the end of the day the class is still basically a whack a mole arcade game that doesn't serve much purpose but to give lesser players a crutch

Tier X lights are an excellent addition, maybe a bit under powered on the whole but so fun

Has the 105 leFH18B2 been affected by the arty rework?

EDIT: Apparently it hasn't! Sweet.

General thoughts based on what I've seen so far without playing:

Tier 8 lights moving to tier 9

On the webpage it says that: "If you have Crew trained to 100% on a light tank that moves up a Tier, but don’t have this tank in the Garage at the update’s release, the Crew will be retrained for a higher Tier regardless." This is not true on the test server. My crews for the AMX 1390, Ru 251, T-54 LT, and T49 were retrained to the tier 8 lights despite being in the garage. An additional complaint about the change is that the xp that was built up on these tanks stayed at tier 8. You can make a case for the B-C 12t keeping this experience, but the HWK 12, LTTB, and Bulldog have no need for this xp. This is something that WG should change. When the arties got uptiered they kept their experience, why not the light tanks? It looks like a way for players to spend more money on the game than anything else. I would like for my tier 9 lights to have access to the 400k+ xp I have saved on them so far.

Premiums

The leFH and various premium light tanks were not changed at all with respect to how their classes changed as a whole. This is a HUGE mistake. I know that WG as a company doesn't like to touch premium tanks, but it is not in the game's interest to keep the most broken artillery piece even more broken when these changes happen. The high tier premium lights are now going to be too strong against the tanks that they will now be regularly facing. Even though I own the leFH and several premium scouts, I think WG needs to change these vehicles so the game doesn't become even more imbalanced than it already is.

Please do not allow this new stun mechanic hit the live servers!!!! Arty is a pain to play as it is now, but this new stun mechanic makes it even worse, Sure I get more hits, but less damage per game. I did not notice any improvement in my reload times either. The new arty mechanics suck worse than the current ones.

Two unanswered questions:

1.  Are the arty personal missions for the campaign going to be adjusted to reflect the new arty mechanics?

2.  Are preferential matchmaking premiums going to be factored at all into the "single tier platoon" rule, or is Wargaming just kind of ignoring that issue?

will you guys rework missions for SPGs, given the new mechanics that might be implemented?

No, which means I have a gigantic amount of exp to plow through if I want to unlock the PTA before the patch goes in :-(

The leFH would probably be even more infuriating to play against if it had the stun mechanic as well. Right now, tanks with enough armor can still deal with the rapid rate of fire (due to how low the damage is), but if it had the stun mechanic, you could basically disable any tank regardless of its armor - just as long as you have a line of sight on it, of course.

Sky cancer is still toxic with the stun mechanic.

Arty under 150mm don't get stun, so leFH wouldn't get it anyway

Looks like it's always going to be stupidly OP, in that case.

Yeah, saw this as well - I assumed a trained T49 / AMX 13 90 crew would move up with the tank.

In terms of the arty stun mechanic; I think it's fine, it's less annoying than being one shot.  I'm a little worried about the large splash radius, even with the reloadable consumables, since it makes arty cover less useful.  In the end though, I think it's a step in the right direction, or at least something worth trying out.  At the moment you take arty out of the game, you essentially have a brand new game, and you have to rebalance everything.

9.17 - Both 100% M41 Walker Bulldog Crew & 100% T49 Crew with respective tank in garage

9.18 - 2 sets of 100% M41 Walker Bulldog Crew - Empty T49

Why? That's bogus for us to retain crews for tanks they were originally a part of...

Also, when are we getting the promised new skin for VK 72.01 K to separate the visual from Pz.Kpfw. VII?
