UPDATE: Minsk Devs Respond to Server Lag

I played around 12pm EST for an hour yesterday.  Was the patch already deployed at that time?  Didn't think about it at the time, but looking back, can't say I experienced any packet loss, which has been rare since..... 9.17?  Then again, I don't usually play that early in the day.  Interested to try it this evening, and to have a bigger sample size from which to gauge the effectiveness of the patch.

oh... You must have been hanging out with that CaptainNoPants dude from -G- , or something I think?  I've tried to sell him some nice slacks on sale, for about 2 years now, but he will not take any of my offers? I have jeans, slacks, dress pants, dockers, all types, I've even offered him 60% discounts, he just won't buy for some reason?  That's CaptianNoPants for you.

Congrats!  I get 999 ping all the time now :great:  NA East is unplayable for me today!

Cold water on Wots, there is still lag as of 0300 hrs on 4/13/17.....just sayn.

Still getting same issues as before, and notifications in WGC only show updates for WoWS during the last days... 

 

Patch not distributed to all players yet? 

What IS the current build that should be showing in WGC?

MEathead - here's your issue.  I sent in tickets on this issue with the requested data and I received cut and past responses asking me to reset my modem.  Blaming my ISP when clearly the PP file showed that all the ping and packet loss was at your servers.  I'm not wasting my time sending in more tickets for issues that are clearly on your end.  You guys need to get your servers in order.

The Matchmaking system will be getting an overhaul in update 9.18. If you haven't seen it yet, you can read all about it (and the other upcoming changes) here.

The patch should have been deployed by that time. The downtime yesterday morning was to incorporate this fix. Please do let us know if you experienced (or didn't experience) lag in the evening. Thanks!

Hmmm... then either the update did go unnoticed by my client... xD, or, if it updated silently and 9.17.1.468 is indeed the latest version, it seems not to solve the issues for me.

It was a server only update so your client wouldn't require an update.

Wargaming please stop ignoring the questions about lost/waisted premium time. You have owned up to the problem but will you make it right for the players who use Premium time every month?

Please get rid of stu**d consumables in the tank rewards. Especially in the deluxe supply crate. You guys do know this is really bad choice right?

I can confirm that they seemed to have fixed something as the NA east server is working much more smoothly. I started having problems with patch 9.17 and only on NA east server but now it seems fine. I spent the last month running trace routes with ping plotter and it showed a good connection all the way through the hops so I know the problem was not on any of the hops on my end and had to be server side glitching or something. I feel like premium time users should be compensated for this. I don't know, give out some free 50% credit boosters or something? How about ten 50%-two hour credit boosters for everyone? Either way, thanks for the fix WG.

I did play a few games on East, didn't feel as laggy... it might have worked WG. Will test again tonight in my batchato.

 

Finally, I don't have to play with crayon eaters who love the lemming trains on West! (hey, in their defense, at least they are quick games).

The patch was intended to fix the lag and packet loss issues that players had been experiencing.

The patch was a "Server Patch", no user would have to download anything.

Thank you Dance for monitoring and responding to this thread. 

 

Since a patch was applied to the server to fix the issues that we are experiencing, you have identified what the problem was, correct? 

 

I saw that Meathead attempted join in  to hijack the thread with the "pants" diversion but the question remains. 

 

What was the problem? WG appears to know what it was since there is a patch attempting to correct it. 

 

Credibility and wallets are on the line as players like me that have spent hundreds if not....well I dont want to add up how much I have spent on this game, it might be more than hundreds at this point, are wondering what this issue is that has been now identified and fixed with a patch.
