Ok I have an E100 with the top gun, the 150mm, and to be quite honest I am totally underwhelmed with both the chasis and gun.

I find it retarded that this tank is so easy to penetrate and losses huge chunks of hit points in one hit.  Sure the occassional hit bounces, but they are few and far between.  I also have an IS7 which I consider inferior to my IS4, and I can honsetly say the IS7 is twice as good as E100.

Now to the 150mm, its suppose to have to have 40 odd less pen than the T30, yet it's bouces even on the front lower plate of a Lowe, I have bounced three shots (1 gold) on the front of a T30 hull in a row, yet i can pen the same place everytime with my Lowe's 105.  Seriously, 63,000 odd xp for a gun that is overall worse than the 128mm stock gun is a joke.

My advice to anyone currently grinding for an E100 is DON'T, get the Maus or the T30 instead, you will be happier for having done so.

I was in a match with an E100 vs an IS-7. They met square in the middle of the map. All I heard was ricochets off the E100 as it stomped the IS-7. IS-7 was almost dead and E100 got a big head and jumped out into the open, well needless to say it got lit up as soon as it got out in the open, and not many tanks have decent side armor. Luckily we captured the enemy base just before it popped. Just like the Maus, this thing is anything but invulnerable if you expose it to enemy fire from anywhere but the front.

If you bounced the bottom of a Lowe, you hit it at a very bad angle. If you bounced the front of the T30's turret no surprise, if you bounced it's hull, you hit it at a ridiculously bad angle.

E-100 will have it's weakspot mudflaps adjusted just like the Maus did, the tricky part is predicting how long it will take for this ti be done, but it will be. Stats will reveal the need for this and they will act on that, unfortunately this process while sound, takes time and time = dissappointment in instant gratification land

I am terribly disappointing with the E-100.  All I have found to work for this tank is to treat it like a TD and hide with it.  i just don't see where all these hit points come into play.  This thing is a huge Leichttraktor and barely a tier IX.

I'm with Homer on this one!

You haven't been successful with any of your tanks, so don't expect to be successful with the E100 either.

You guys realize the E-100 has the highest penetration  possible (other than arty) when it uses gold ammo. For pub matches , it is subpar, but it's gonna be the best tank for clan wars.

E-100 was a huge dissapointment during 6.6 test. Even during test 2, when most of E-series were overpowered, E-100 performed much worse than its counterparts. At the time, some preferred the E-75 as tier 10 and E-100 as tier 9.
No improvements were made on the tank. In fact, it received a huge nerf to its HPs.

Volkof how did you get the E-100 when you only played 16 games with the E-75 ?

Did he grind it with exchanging gold for free XP?

you just use gold to covert XP gained on other tanks, and skip the grind altogether

Wow, he would of had to convert around 400  k free XP, how much gold does that take ??

I had been saving my silver and xp for six weeks prior to the release of the E series.  Most of it came from my Tiger II and my KV-5.  I admit that my tactics are needing adjustment from the rush tactics I have used in the past with the Tiger and KV, however I can no longer roll along side of 4502s or Maus' like I used to.

Maybe I am a sucky tanker and just don't know how to drive it yet, but this is just my opinion :arta: .

I have to somewhat agree.  The E-100's is just as easy to drop as a T30 as it has huge flawed armor all around it, not to mention it's range/view finder being a welcoming mat for 100% damaging shots, and it's ultra-susceptible to HE, especially arty.  Even mid-tier arty will do significant damage to this tank.  If not all HP, it will knock out tons of modules/crew in a single connecting shot.  But it is odd that at the same time it scoffs off splash damage rather well on non-direct shots.

The gun is still a joke.  I got to solo one from 100% earlier in my E-75 again as it was easy to exploit it's massive weaknesses while it's shots all bounced until they went to HE.  It has the worst accuracy and pen of all the "big hitter" guns unfortunately which isn't fair at all considering how brittle of a tank it is, and it's a low-blow by the devs to force people into blowing gold rounds to be effective.  I don't care if it's gold rounds have the best pen, this game was never-ever-ever-ever supposed to be balanced around "Pay 2 Win" mechanics as said by the devs, yet here we are.  At least the E50 and E75 are good tanks, but it's a downer as I know I was most excited for the E-100 just to see it plays out to be a cruel joke in the end.

I'm fine with it being a "glass canon", just it's missing the quality gun.  The devs either need to boost the AP pen a bit, it's accuracy, or boost the damage the HE does by a large amount to make this tank work.
