[World of Tanks] Update 9.18 Announcement and Server Downtime

Attention Tankers!


We will be performing server maintenance on Tuesday April 18th, 2017 for the release of Update 9.18

 

Maintenance will begin 1:00AM PDT (08:00 UTC) and will last approximately six (6) hours. During this time, the World of Tanks servers will be unavailable.

 

Strongholds: Advances and Clan Wars Global Map will be unavailable Tuesday, April 18th due to the 9.18 release.

 

After the maintenance has completed, please run the World of Tanks Launcher (WOTLauncher.exe) to ensure that the game client updates properly. If you selected the option for automatic updates in the World of Tanks Launcher ensure that the game has finished updating. As a reminder, please remember to remove any mods before starting the game after the update!

You don't need 3 posts of patchnotes just say:

 

- Arty Buff (Damage nerf, Accuracy/Aim Time/Reload/Splash Buff + Stun (Not needed but whatever at this point))

- Murdering of Light Tanks

- MM changes that took 6 years to achieve

- Premium Arty/Lights receive no nerfs, but moderate buffs (AMX 13 57 buffed nicely)

 

There, simplified for you in under 70 words

 

... Don't have high hopes for this patch, which is a shame because when the notes were first released I was jumping for joy, But hey, at least WG HQ screwed up the AMX 13 105 enough to where now I have absolutely no need to drop ~$30 Gold on Free XP'ing the tank, Bat Chat 25t is still best light tank it seems...

You forgot to mention in the MM change, it's still broken, but it's a change.  Still no consideration of DPM and HP per tier.

Does the T2 Light tank still see tier 4s? Just curious seeing how it was the only tier 2* to do so.

Also RIP light tanks. you're dead to me.

Refund. How about a total refund of all monies spent on this seeing as you are determined to destroy a whole class that some have played since beta.

Should also be noted that you may want to finish grinding on some of the tanks that are getting moved. I've almost got the amx30 unlocked and if I don't get it researched tonight I'll have to finish the grind in a new stock tank with a 50% crew... Doesn't that sound like fun?

  • Recharge of almost all standard consumables takes 90 seconds; recharge of Premium consumables takes 60 seconds.
  • The Large First Aid Kit and the Small First Aid Kit have the same recharge time (90 seconds).

 

Way to screw up WarGaming, couldn't just leave them at the previously agreed upon same cool down time.:angry:

You missed a small detail though.  The Bishop and FV304 get penetration cut in half, but do not gain stun.

Light tank nerf bad.


 

Did you remember to change the SPG goals for the tank missions?  You remember, Campaign 1 The Long Awaited Backup, whatever that means.  Can an arty even do 3 or 4k damage in a battle now?  How would it be possible to be top damage?

     I guess working out of town with crapinternet is a good thing. It'll take a while for me to play again and see how bad it's gonna suck...
