The 9.18 Client has hit the NA servers.

If you are having issues with the 9.18 client - would you please post here [versus other threads] so we can focus on helping and aggregating the issues...

Thanks

Picked up the Swedish Premium tank and have worked at learning to play it and found it was forgiving with earned credits. Used those credits earned to advance other through tech lines. It was a good situation and a positive for WOT. However, with the recent update this is no longer the case leaving one with the feeling like they have been had by a bait and switch set-up.

You do know that someone from WarGaming who actually works for WG created a post about support for the WoT Mac Wrapper - right?

http://forum.worldof...he-mac-wrapper/

Right now, all support for the Mac Wrapper will be done through this section of the forum. Once again:

ALL SUPPORT FOR THE MAC WRAPPER CLIENT WILL BE DONE THROUGH THIS SECTION OF THE FORUMS

Edited~ Support Tickets for the MacWrapper will be redirected back to the WoT MacWrapper Forums ~PIgeon_of_War

Are you talking about the 9.17.1 or the 9.18 version?

NA just got the 9.18 client early this morning.

I have not had the change to [kick the tires] in the 9.18 release but the 9.18 test client was much more enjoyable with my Premiums.

Not sure what you are asking...

The WoT Mac Wrapper [wraps] the MS Windows game [without needing to install/run MS Windows] so us users of OS X/macOS can play the game.

It is the same game.

Hey Colt,

Upgraded from the old WOT RB from DStud to 9.18 and as yet no problems on my Mac & wrapper (touch wood) The install went nice and smooth and all aspects of the garage and play and graphics and sound seem stable, i can access emblems and camo etc with no problems as yet.

I can access Clan areas and Missions as well, however I guess time will tell so as usual i have a small nagging doubt in the back of my mind because of all the recent problems with WG :)

Good to hear ... please put the new client through your usual paces and keep the Forum updated with both the good and the bad.

Would you please include in your posts the version of OS X that you are running and the machine specs? - this allows us to quickly make suggestions/conclusions to the thread.

Please remember that when we have issues with the WoT Mac Wrapper that it may be either CodeWeavers or WarGaming that is at fault.  But take solace that your past issues are now gone.

Good luck on the battlefield ...

Based on the responses so far, the only bug I can see is the one associated with PC elitists mental capacity.

I have had no issues with my El Capitan machine, will run my Sierra machine later this week. Game seems to run fine. Everything works as it should. Even things I avoided in 9.17.1 work fine.

Now as far as how the patch has effected the players & their gameplay...it does feel like there has been a disturbance in the force.

Back again, and just as bad as before. Tanks don't show up in garage, icons/text is missing, tech tree is invisible, buildings and terrain flicker wildly.

Back into the same carnival ride. I guess Wargaming didn't bother with whatever Codeweavers cooked up last time around. Blah.

Trying with the RB Wrapper, as the stock client is totally unplayable.

Quick follow up, aside from having to redownload the entire game yet again, the RB wrapper does load, and everything seems alright. Dstud does what Wargaming don't I guess! :teethhappy:

I'll report anything I find that's amiss here should anything further crop up. For those affected, looks like the dstud utility and the RB wrapper are still essentials for OS-X tanking.

HA! Well its a good thing the RB wrapper still works then eh?

Just curious, the wrapper that was giving you the glitches and stuff, was that still the 2.0.1 version? There was a new one released, version 2.0.3 that was supposed to fix all that. If that was the one you were using and were still getting the glitches then we should report it. Double check that, and if you were still using 2.0.1 then try .3 and see if it gets any better! Unfortunately the auto updater seems to be broken... so you have to download it straight from the WG website

Note that the RB wrapper did not work for me in Sierra, but when I did a full uninstall using dstuds utility and then did a normal install with the latest from WG, everything worked. Before I tried all of that, the game was broken for me. At some point you might want to do a clean install so that you get the benefit of the latest updates.

It runs no problem on my rMBP with Sierra. So no complaints from me, except of course game play is all over the place as people sort themselves & the changes out post-patch. Lots of salt in game and on the forums.

Good to hear that your past issues seem to be solved.

With the radical changes in 9.18 to several classes of vehicles I suspect that there will be some rather heated discussions.  However, it seems that WarGaming is at least actively courting opinions on the changes - lets hope that they continue to do so.

So lets take them up on that - submit your nice and focused opinions [pros and cons - why you feel it is a pro or con] in the Gameplay Discussion Forum - Feedback / Suggestions
