Arty HE Shell Damage Vary as Enemies Get Closer (or Pen vary)

Note how AP shells have varying penetration values based on how close or how far the targeted tank is. For example the t110e4 tank using AP M111E1 shells has 295 average pen at 50 meters, 293 pen at 200 meters, 285 pen at 500 meters.

 

The idea is to allow the Arty class (in light of it's dramatically reduced damage values from the recent update) to have a varying damage value for it's HE shells based on how close the targeted tank is. So basically when an enemy tank is close to you (in those situations where some pesky tank has sneaked up on you) that arty still has the ability to unleash that devastating one shot blow (purely defensive). The varying damage values could be say 25 meters, 50 meters, 75 meters (meant to have increased damage only at close range)

 

Could also increase the pen values as well on the scale.

No. If arty is found by a light or any other tank, it shouldn't be able to defend itself. It gets to go the whole game doing damage to other tanks while safely behind draw distance. Once you get spotted, you should be done.

I agree. Arty should be able to defend himself from those lights. there's players that yolo to kill arty.

I agree panzer 716 once you get spotted you should be done,but no to many people whined:child:like you are now, that they should be defenseless,thats just Bollocks
