I play a lot of arty and am good at it...the update sucks.

Yes it does... I nerfed the money I spend with WOT like they nerfed  arty..

I go for the lights right from the beginning because I know I cannot shotgun them anymore.

Arty is completely F'ed....

When a M44 cant kill a scout at point blank range

Remove us from the game refund us our money and let use move on, to a new game.

Thanks for screwing the game up so bad that World of Warcraft is looking fun again....

Poor Thought in this nerf

Well said. Just refund me the Credits. Nobody grinded t10 arties to do the &^& damage they are capable of now. WOT doesn't listen to many of these threads but they finally gave in to the campers that are getting one shotted..I sooner would have it removed and a refund then this f'ed up mess.

I find non-arty players hate arty more and more and I take my pleasure from their tears.

I like most of the changes with arty. The only thing I don't enjoy anymore is the fact that artillery can't effectively defend themselves from close-range targets (which doesn't happen often, at least to me).

Also, I've noticed that since the arty changes, I rarely hit close-range targets, which I had no problem with prior to the changes. Probably just RNG; still annoying though.

Before the change, it was hit or miss on a target.  Now with splash I still do pretty good dmg.  It seems like my accuracy has gone way up.  I probably hit (or near hit) 95% of the time, if my target isn't moving.  While before the change I could be right on, the target sitting still and maybe 40% of the time the shot would go some where else.

I think in many ways they made it worse for all the people complaining.  Sure, I don't 1 shot for 2k anymore (not that that happened very often anyways), but now I hit far more players every game.  And my reload is so much faster.  I don't know if the change affected all arty players the same way or if they made crew skill more relevant.  Before the change my crew was already on their 4th skill.

I've just over 5k games driving artillery pieces with over 2k games in my Bert and a goodly number in a leFH.  Prior to the great arty nerf of patch 8.6, my favorite SPG was the Grille.

I believe WG will remove SPG's at some point in the future when only the most hardcore arty players remain along with a few newbies.  By pushing out the arty drivers at that time, WG hopes avoid taking a big hit to their revenue stream.

For those of you who remain...

Good Hunting!!!
