T127 or T15 (for the view range) and A43 or maybe Type 64 would be my choices

M22 Locust. 330 base view range, good speed, decent gun, small package.

T15 has better view range (350) better armor (not that it matters)

No such thing,.... bring what you are really good at.

I have seen people take arty in 1v1, heavys TDs lights pretty much everything.

I will say maybe because of the map a tank with armor seams to work well.

I would bring my crom or 64 but only because I am comfortable in them.... remember on that map view range means nothing.

An OI in the right hands would do very well in that map, so would the T150

Low tier 1v1s are more dependent on dpm, mobility or the ability to one shot/clip your opponent. Armor is effectively useless and should not be relied on.

I've been using the in-game comparison or tanks gg to kit out whatever tank I'm considering, compare it to whatever I think I'll be facing, divide the opposing tanks HP by my tanks damage (i.e., how many shots it will take to kill it), round up and multiply by my reload (i.e., how many seconds it will take me to kill it in a DPM fight). Things to consider are HP, DPM and alpha damage. In other words, heavy tanks are usually superior for tiers V though X. Whereas alpha damage or clip potential is superior for tiers I through IV.

Here's a pretty good 1v1 guide by xFearTheReaper.

My personal opinion...

Tier I: Leichttracktor

Tier II: Chinese Vickers (with pom pom)

Tier III: Cruiser II (with derp)

Tier IV: T-28E F-30 (if you have one), Hetzer (if you don't)

Tier V: KV-1 (with 57)

Tier VI: Heavy Tank No. VI

Tier VII: Tiger

Tier VIII: Defender (if you're dirty), IS-3 (if you're not)

Tier IX: T-10

Tier X: Maus

OK well I came top in my group, I used a Pz. S35 739 http://tanks.gg/tank/pz-s35

Over nine games I went up against the following tanks:-

1 x Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. A,  2 x Pz.Kpfw. I Ausf. C, 1 x BT-SV and 1 x M22 Locust

As a precaution I used premium ammo in all the games, but in most cases could have used stock ammo.

The closest anybody got to killing me was the Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. A who hit me twice with the 75mm and did 237 damage, it took me 5 penetrations to kill him (I missed a shot too). Technically he has a better DPM than me, but in practice.....it was a good choice but he should have used the 5cm with APCR...he would have won.

I came in 2nd in my group with the Pz S35 739.

Wins: Pz1C, Cruiser II (x2), Pz S35 739, T-46, T-127

Losses: Pz1C ammo racked me (What The F???), and a Cruiser II derp'd me.

Draw: Pz1C

The winner in our group was using a Cruiser II
