He does have a point. Me myself kinda growing up viewed the day is when the Pools open for summer and school being nearly out. But that doesnt mean I dont thank anyone who served. My dad served in the Navy and my Grandfather was a Tank commander during the Korean War.

The point being after 9/11 there were flags everywhere and as time went by people lost interest and slowly the flags disappeared. For some Memorial Day is remembrance of those who have fallen in war and others go about the day as usual. That is life today and we are not going to change that no matter how hard we thump our chest.
