As I said, it's now at a pretty good middle ground between too much randomness (pre-8.6 sigma) and too much consistency (8.6 sigma). The huge accuracy buff that came with the 8.6 shot distribution was one of the factors that made the cancer that was TD meta possible, and I'm glad that it's been rolled back a bit but not to the pre-8.6 level of nonsense. On the other hand, the consistency of penetration and damage rolls that came around that time and has since remained has done a great job of making guns actually feel distinct from each other, whereas before 8.6, you were more likely to see minimum and maximum damage rolls.

I think I understand what you're saying. I must admit, I don't remember RNG being much of an issue before 8.6 but I was pretty new back then and struggled in general with aiming and hitting. But then again, I have never really felt RNG is a problem in this game except on certain tank, ie IS-6. But I am basing this on my own observations, there's really no facts here.

Strictly speaking, RNG is better now than it was in the past, from a gameplay quality perspective.

For a while, it was too random. For a time after that, it was so consistent that inaccurate guns could reliably snipe from 600m. Now it's at a decent point where engagement range matters somewhat while still being more or less consistent.

If you want to pull the stats argument with me, you're welcome to.

Um no actually rng has got alot worse, if you can't see that your blind. Or working for wargaming staff to damage control their own game. This [edited]crapstill happens daily https://www.youtube....h?v=loB0h2-4KP0

OP, just go and find something you enjoy.  I personally don't care how much you spent or why you're leaving.

Thank you. I am glad some veterans have some decency and realize things are better than they use to be.

They are not better, and they are not ever going to get better because the russians don't care about fixing rng. All they care about is selling more premium tanks.

They're from Belarus with headquarters in Cyprus, but hey, whatever man.

They are Belarus and if you are so miserable then leave. Your attitude sucks and frankly the vast majority of us would rather not hear your complaining anymore. You ignore any point people make that counteracts yours and you just whine and moan like a spoiled 12 year old child. Its frankly extraordinarily pathetic and it doesn't take a high winrate or high amount of games to see that.

I watched that, and it looked like server cursor doesn't match client cursor.  I have both turned on, and when moving, even a bit of lag will get them out of sync, and that happens.

That said, even when they both line up, I've seen plenty of rounds go way outside the dispersion circle when firing from stationary at a stationary target fully aimed in.

So I'm of two minds about it.  I don't think it's become any worse over the 2 years i've been playing, and it seems like it could be improved, but for me, it's just the way the game is.  I don't care that much.

What's the difference i don't care where the "developers" of this "game" live. If you can even call them developers or this a game. This is more of a scam, than a game. Every time you click battle it's just luck of the draw if you get good rng that lets you shoot straight and not send all your shells to the moon like your trying to fund a space program with lead.

inconsistency is indeed a pain in the rear, specialy acuracy and modular damage mechanics,

acuracy mechanics are particularly infuriating, if i play a tank with 0.3 acuracy and 1.8 aim time i would expect it to have awesome acuracy and gun handling..,  if i use one with 0.4x acuracy and 3 secs aim then i cant expect it to behave like a sniper rifle.

meanwhile in WOT due to all the hidden mechanics we have some inacurate guns that can snipe and even take wild snapshots while some suposedely acurate ones strugle to hit a barn.
