Why do I get this odd feeling there are tanks being assembled in basements across the eu?

Panther before the turret mod to get rid of the shot trap.

What's so special about the Panther? Even the imaginary Russian tanks can kick it to the curb.

Let's hope it's the Ausf. G model so that all those technical problems don't make it as expensive to maintain.

Looks like an Ausf. A. MG ball mount and driver's viewport on the glacis and the hull sides being two parts confirm it as one

definitely not a G. Look too at the shot trap under the front of the gun mantlet is still present which was covered in the G model.

It's a Panther  Ausf. A.

Just watch the video. they show one of its brothers made days after it in a book. look at the heading of the photo in the book.

Ausf. G's could also have the non-chin mantlet as the switch didn't happen until around halfway through the production run (and never fully was completed as Ausf. G's were completed with the earlier mantlet until the end of the war)

Early G model Panthers didn't have the chin mantlet.

You can tell it's an A because it has the driver hatch on the left front plate.
