I know the message threads have been going on and on about the recent updates and the state of the game.  I wanted to say that this is the greatest game I've ever played (I've been doing WWII games since the Avalon Hill board games).  The new MM is exponentially better.  Reusable repair kits are great.   The realistic tanks and maps are great.  The software coding that makes it all happen is great.   Appreciate this game instead of just finding all that is wrong with it.  The biggest problem left in this game is having idiots playing it.

I too love the game. Don't get me wrong having criticisms is good for a game, as developers can see what's wrong. However there are those in the community that constantly complain and whine. I long for a day in which we can make the forums great again. I better start doing my part by making guides, instead of spam posting bad memes.

The game can be super frustrating but it's kept me hooked for over 4 years now. I've only played 1 other game as long or longer and that was Battlefield 2.

EDIT: yeah, RIP realism.....

Agree, this is a good game. But it is the whiners that get on your nerves and you tell them to shut up, they just get mad at you like your the problem. Had that last game and he flew off the handle.

Fun game..... but with 33k games I'm finding it a little redundant now.  The maps are slow to rotate, are the same, etc.  Bringing back some old maps for a while would be nice.  I find the ping spikes are frustrating, and the new MM is great if you have upgraded tanks, but it's super hard to upgrade them now, compared to pre-update.  (At least I'm finding it tougher)  I'm holding out for the ranked battles for something new....  I'm hoping they reach expectations, but I'm not holding my breathe.

I also find there is less strategy involved now, compared to a couple of years ago.  Too many tanks zipping around like a first person shooter game; of course I'm referring to the pubbies.

A fun game for sure..... but I certainly don't like it as much as I used to.  I'll give it until the fall, when my prem. account runs out, but I might have to take a jump to Modern Warfare WW2 in November...... they're pretty fun games too..... if the gameplay doesn't improve.

The rapidly declining number of players online every night is a great indication that this game is dying, and it's dying because of the stupid crap the devs are doing.

All things being equal.  I believe that Squad Leader is a better game.

When I started I was willing to learn, nobody really seems interested in that these day.....  they just do their own thing, which lately means camp the entire game......

The screw up with game chat/friends list in the last week, the ridiculous change to arty in the last patch, just for starters.  There are less than 17,000 on the east server on prime time on a Monday night now.  They've lost approximately one third of the players at any given time in about 6 months time.  Game is dying.

It's easy to overlook the marvelous fact that at any moment, I can press 1 button and be thrust into a battle with 29 other real people, with a myriad of computers and connections, all across the country 24/7. If you had tried to tell someone about WOT back in, say, 2005, they would have laughed at you because the sort of technology you'd need to make it work couldn't possibly ever exist, it'd be too expensive and complicated to ever work, let alone for free!

Yet here we are. :B

Funny.  I was playing Far Cry in just that manner then.

Regardless of what whim the fickle whiner flock of perps wants at any given moment, WoT policy of dynamic continuity gave the entire community most of what was necessary for actual in game play fun.

That was WoT up until the recent most gratuitous dynamic discontinuity of present 9.18 tragicomic disaster.

This not so funny, WoT 9.18, fitful folly has +42,547 twisted UTubers’ thus far on the floor LOL at WoT…

I'm really appreciating how much of an echo chamber this thread is.
