Is it true that on certain maps you werent able to glide down cliffs? Or, roll your tank? On of my friends that has been playing this game for a few years told me that it was impossible to flip a tank onto its top. Im just wondering if this is true. And please no toxic comments.

I made a typing error. Instead of on, it should be One.

Get into training room. Test it yourself.

Was before my time but it's true.  Cliffs had invisible borders.  Which some used to their advantage by leaning on those barriers to shoot down on enemy tanks.

As for rolling over, that's somewhat newer, within the past four years?  Maybe not even three. You could jump your tanks but never roll them even on their sides.

Test what? I accidentally rolled my T1 Heavy, so i know you can roll tanks.

I also meant to add that it was impossible to roll a tank when he started playing

A side note not apart of physics, but im more curious about it: there only used to be tier 8 artillery? How did tier 10 battles get balanced out?

Those days are long gone.

But yes. The game has improved a lot over the years.

this.

back in the day you could hang off of the lip of a cliff but could not go down, rolling tanks was impossible too, no power slides, no mountain goating either.

I was in my Tiger II today and I got flipped over by an E100 after I penned his lower plate armor twice.....  Then, he shot me up the [edited], while I was upside down.  It was humiliating.

Yes, both are true.

Also, in the early days you couldn't even get your tank to leave the ground, and they didn't slide. No matter how fast you drove or how hard you turned the tanks stayed stuck to the ground and turned corners like they had magic treads.

Back when I started playing in 2012, you couldn't drive into deep water and drown yourself, or even drive off of a cliff. There were invisible barriers to stop you. I remember when they lifted those barriers. For months, half of your team would start out the game driving off cliffs, bridges and drowning themselves. It was pure chaos for a while.

Flipping over your tank is a relatively new thing. Your tracks used to be glued to the ground, which made fast light tanks a lot of fun. You could drive crazy with no fear. Now, got to be a bit careful.

Ah, now it makes sense ... I've wondered about fast lights/scouts and some of the gaming stories I've come across for some of the famous speedsters ... hahaha that much traction must have seemed like the next best thing to Tron light bikes ... :D
