Historical

All tanks during World War II with Historical Modules.

"Historical Mode"

split into two parts

1939-1941  Mode I of Historical

1942-1945 Mode II of Historical

Blueprints/never developed Tanks in a mode called:

"Prototype Mode"

Post-War Tanks in a mode called Post War Mode

tanks from 1946-49 only.

Post-War mode II

1950-1959 tanks

Post-War Mode III

1960-1969 tanks

What do you think?

Actually, I like your idea. Gives the game historical status again. Gives us a chance to get away from these comic book vehicles that WoT continually introduce.

I have an alternative suggestion.

Take into account fuel consumption.

Each tank would have a fuel gauge which would indicate how much fuel was being consumed by the tank based on class.  Then, introduce fuel depots, one on each side of the map, randomly placed, where, upon driving through, a tank is refueled. (Refueling depots would be neutral, could not be 'owned' but could be controlled.)

Suddenly every map is made new, a strategic twist is introduced, and a sense of realism is put into place, which more closely resembles a prime ingredient for any armored vehicle; running out of gas.

So simulator battles?...go play War Thunder if you want that because historical aka simulator battles are just broken as hell and as soon as people start talking about balancing then its no longer historical or a simulator.

Also worth mentioning that we are going to be getting ranked battles in the next patch and later on once its ready we will get Frontline mode which is basically large scale garage battles.
